Do you think the Group Finder cool down should be removed?

They should re-work it. Give us an option to decline dungeons instead of popping us into the group when it starts. The cool down wouldn't matter if you could choose which dungeons you want.

Right now the only issue I have with it is tanks leaving the group before it starts. More times than not we don't find another tank with in a minute or two the rest of the group leaves and then I have to wait 15 minutes. They need to make a gear/CP requirement for a lot of vet dungeons and prevent level 20's from joining in with their friends because you cannot finish a Veteran dungeon with a level 20 DPS is in the group.
Today is a blessing. Yesterday is in the past and tomorrow is a mystery.

No, the penalty should remain with one tweak.

The penalty should not be applied when a clown leader disbands the group.

No because i was playing where there was no penalty and people would just queue random and then if they did not get the specific dungeon they wanted they would leave and queue again because why not.

This removed all those annoying people.

What i think they should do is maybe remove it if the group is disbanded(or remove the disband option) and when you get kicked.

But do not completely remove it at any cost or you essentially ruin it. All games have it.

I don't want to see it removed but modified to punish only the guilty.

Actually something in between would be better in my opinion. I only just started using the thing a couple of weeks ago and just had my first rage quit the other night because of it. I was queued for dps, which we all know takes forever, finally get a group only to have it instantly disbanded. I didn't have time to wait another hour in the queue so I quit and went to bed.

Whoever has crown should have the "disband" button blocked for a certain amount of time after the group is formed (and only if the group was formed using activity finder...regular groups formed outside of the grouping tool would not be effected) Of course they can leave the group if they want, but 3 other people should not be penalized because 1 person wants to be a troll.

Crown cannot actually disband a group formed via the dungeon finder. That is a bug and should be fixed.

I think there should be a cooldown, but it should maybe be 5 minutes? Or 5 minutes if you get kicked and 15 minutes if you leave? Because really, you could spend those 15 minutes in the dungeon and find out that your group is better than you think it is.

Interesting, someone else mentioned that too. I didn't even know about that. Like I said, just started using the dungeon finder pretty recently. I should mention I'm on PS4, so not sure if its different for us?

There should be some anti leaver mechanic but it really needs to be reworked.

I had to come vent about this even more.

The whole freaking dungeon finder system is royally messed up. You could be doing nothing wrong in a great group and be kicked for no reason. Then YOU have to wait 15 minutes. Why not make the group wait 15 minutes to find a replacement? The wrong people get punished for doing nothing while the jerks get what they want.

The kick system is being abused so badly.

Too many jerks, even WITH the timers, that enter a group and then leave it when they enter the quest/raid/etc. Timer prevents this from being a regular thing.

The Group Finder is obviously a nice tool to have since it allows people to queue in for a random dungeon and quickly find a team (damage dealer times vary). But should the cool down time be removed? I would say that it should.

The cool down time seems like it would give more players a chance to queue, doesn't it? While that sounds like the case it's not entirely true. After completing a dungeon, assuming it takes you 15 or more minutes to complete, you will be able to queue again.

So what's the big deal with the cool down time? When the group leader disbands the group after you queue you're stuck waiting another 15 minutes. This can happen a lot, obviously depending on the group leader.

To fix this we either need the cool down time to be removed (or at the very least shortened to 5 minutes at most) or we need the group leader to not be able to disband groups, and only be able to leave which would pass the crown.

It should be reserved for those who leave dungeons on their own accord.

Like those who whine when others don't use the specific abilities they want them to. Like the tank who sucks and whines for other players to use shards or repentance so the poor things don't have to manage their own resources. And then they leave the dungeon if they don't get their way.

Those are the types of players who need the penalty.

I don't think you should get a penalty for being kicked. If you can queue into a dungeon you can do the dungeon if you know the game, but people might still kick you for being too low. The only time I think people should be kicked is if they're not contributing.

The only people I don't like playing with are healers who don't heal (or DPS queues as healer), Tanks who don't taunt (but are still presumably tanks because they're using damage shields), and egotistical tanks who basically tell a new level 15 player to git gud. There was this one time I was doing vWGT with a "healer" who did nothing but stack damage shields while I had to heal as a DPS with minimal healing output.

Refusing to play with someone even when they meet the level requirement for a NORMAL dungeon is ridiculous. Even refusing to do vWGT with anyone less than c160 is a little ridiculous. I did it successfully at half that. If these kick happy players are as skilled as they say/act then they should be more than good enough to make up the skill difference.
