Why does the banker assistant not have guild bank and guild store access?

Why is the banker assistant not like a regular banker npc? It does not have access to either guild bank or guild store.

✭✭✭✭✭Honestly, all of the assistants are kinda crap. The Merchant doesn't sell anything or repair your gear. The Banker won't let you muck around with guild stuff, and the Fence takes a 35% cut, and won't let you launder items.
With the banker, it's probably to keep goldsellers from abusing it, but, I honestly don't know for sure.6 -

I'm hoping when you place the assistants in your house they then allow you to access guild bank and repair.
I don't think this will be the case at the moment, but maybe in the future?1 -

Yeah, at present they do not. Your TG rep still pulls 35% as well. It would be nice if their limitations were lifted while they were in your house, however.2 -

Because it isn't the regular banker NPC. It is an assistant.1 -

My guess is that they originally wanted to make those accessible through their own Assistants. While I see the Banker and Merchant from time to time. Its not as often enough to lead me to believe they were as profitable as ZOS would have liked them to be. Since there hasnt been any new ones since Thieves Guild, which was almost a year ago now. There were two more datamined. But, I'll say it again, just like I did last year, 50 bucks was way to steep for those things. I was prepared to spend 40 for both, but when they finally dropped, I balked and never looked back.0 -

Well, they have actual utility value. Which isn't saying much, since the Crown Store tries to avoid doing that.0 -

CombatPrayer✭✭✭✭I wish they did have full features but I have to say that I love both my merchant and banker. They are my splurge and they are truly the best use of crowns ever for me. I can pull them out anywhere - clear inventory, sell stuff, get money, deposit money. No running to bank. No wasting my time with any of that. For me, the price of convenience of those two is worth the money I paid though I do think that for that price repairs and actual bank access to guilds would have made them even better. They have saved me a ton of time in game and enabled to not have to stop what I was doing because of inventory or money so much it's kind of crazy.0 -

✭I would not say they are useless.
I love my merchant because I use it to clear out my inventory so I don't have to go back to town very often.
Pretty much a requirement of mine when grinding. Also a good source of money since I pick up all the weapons/armor that drops from mobs.Make PC NA raiding great again!

It really doesn't. And given how long it's been since they were mined, I seriously suspect they got dropped.
I expect them to be in crown crates at some point. The only difference is supposed to be looks and voice acting and if those have already been done there's no reason to scrap them.
