Over the past couple years since the LOL flag was removed from these forums, I started up 2 threads gauging whether or not the LOL flag should be brought back.
Well, it's been 6 months since my last poll, and since I don't believe in necroing threads, and since I also like statistics that are recent, I will start this up and gather more current public opinion.
Over the 2 threads I started up in my time here at ESO, there are 2 camps. Some people want the LOL flag brought back because there are some posts that make you laugh so hard you sometimes have to leave the room (I could do a search for posts saying "Where is the LOL flag when you need it?", and I would probably have at least 200 posts returned with those exact words). However, others believe the LOL flag's removal was necessary, due to the fact it was abused more often than being used for its intended purpose.
So, with both issues presented, let's begin some healthy discussion. Note, I am making this poll anonymous.

Allegedly, at least according to an old dev post, it was removed because people were using it to troll specific people or even entire threads.
Nowadays, you would think would be better behaving, and I have seen lots of post asking where the LOL flag is, but since I want the entire community's response to this, I'd rather start a poll and find out.If you can't handle the heat...stay out of the kitchen!0 -

It was a reaction flag here on the forums that was removed at some point. Reaction flags are those like Agree, Insightful, and Awesome. There used to be an LOL flag, but it was removed.

I hated to lose the LOL, but those post, which appear real, not sarcasm, demonstrate zos may have made the right decision. Sometimes you LOL because what they said was so far in outerspace that the signal shouldn't have even reached this planet yet. It was mostly used to troll threads about ridiculously broken or OP tactics by the people abusing ridiculously broken or OP tactics. I seriously cannot remember a single time that LOL made a thread more thoughtful or productive. If you cannot take the time to explain why you disagree with someone, don't fall back on LOL as a lazy substitute.1 -

Personally, I could give a flying F what others think of my posts. I liked the LOL. I didn't care that it was being abused, but I'm not so insensitive as to see that the abuse was a form of bullying. Not everyone can handle the abuse, and zos was right to protect them (as well as themselves). Online bullying HAS led to real deaths.
