Gear questions for a S&B StamBlade PVP build?

I've been playing around with my classes and I wanted to do something other than Ganking on my Stamina Nightblade. Something for small group and open world PvP. I've narrowed down my weapon choices to One hand and Shield and 2H for Rally. When it comes to gear I don't know which setup would be the most optimal for dps output. I want the build to be Tankier but still put out damage. So here is two setups I was thinking about using. Let me know what you think or you can suggest others.

Setup 1.) Eternal Hunt x5, Ravager x5, Tremorscale/Selene/Velidreth x2

Setup 2.) Eternal Hunt x5, Spriggan's x5, Tremorscale/Selene/Velidreth x2

I know the Stam sustain would be low but with using block my stamina regen would be locked anyway so I wanted to spec more into reduced cost and tenacity. Siphoning strikes skill will help sustain as well plus Redguard passives.

So between setup 1 or 2, which do you guys think will be the most successful?

Thanks for the help!

I'm wondering if you can still have decent DPS. Can you let me know?

Eternal hunt sucks for 1h and shield. If you honestly want the best damage, you want widowmaker, viper, velidreth/tremorscale. If you want great damage without cheese, go like 5 spriggans, 5 hundings or something similar. If you want to be tanky and have great damage, try out 5 fury, 5 viper, 2 selenes/bloodspawn/malibeth. Very fun setup. If you want to be tanky and pure utility go for like 5 duroks bane 5 fasallas 2 malubeth. Hope this helps. :)

The amount of proc sets mentioned in this thread is disturbing. I guess its a measure of the BS meta we currently play in.

With that said, Ive played Sword and board NB tank before heavy armor got its buff. You honestly dont need proc sets to be successful. A nightblade with well timed burst can be vwry dangerous.

My setup has recently changed and is currently in testing phase but my tried and true build is as follows.

    Head:Kena
    Shoulders: Bloodspawn
    Chest: clever alchemist (CA)
    Gloves: CA
    Legs: CA
    Boots: CA
    waist: marksman
    Neck: marksman
    2x marksman rings
    2h: CA
1h + shield: lekis sharpened and reinforced.
    Serpent mundus.

5 heavy 2 medium. With bi stat food and cyro buff you will be at 30k hp 34k stam as an Imperial. Buffed without CA 3100 weapon damage. With CA 3800. You can hit 2k regen with relentless focus and stam pot buff.

1h bar. Reverb bash, ambush, surprise attack, cloak, fear, incap

2h rally, vigor, blur, siphoning attacks, relentless focus, werewolf or soul tether.

Unlike a gank build I dont open up with alchmist. I wait till Ive taken the enemy down and worn out his resources. Then pop it and go for the kill.

    Great build! I dig it!

Thanks. Im trying 5 shadow walker instead of the 4 marksman and 1 Bloodspawn. Finally got the pieces together last night. Haven't had more than an hour to test it so my set up is still in progress. I removed vigor and slotted dark shade to escape and cloak to get the shadow walker buff up. SW set gives me 124 less weapon damage but 980 more stamina to go with the 2000 hp and stam regen per second when cloaked and not moving. Ive also changed my mundus to the shadow for larger crit damage which synergizes with the nightblade 10% crit damage passive. 22% extra in total without CP.

Crit still hurts in PVP even with inpen.
