    I have mixed feeling about this motif, because while this is certainly cool looking:

    Agreed. It looks nothing like the Ebony armor from Skyrim.

    Well, it's not Skyrim, annnd it takes place 1000 years beforehand in the overall TES story, style changes over time.

    All I have to say is ZoS needs to implement motif transmutation system, because having to redo everything every time they release a new motif is getting old...

    Actually it's pretty much exactly Skyrim's Ebony armor. At least as exact as ESO cares to get.
    Morrowind and Oblivion Ebony armor looked considerably different. I wish we could at least dye the rims golden, but even that is not possible =(

    Motif can be purchased with writ vouchers when Update 13 drops.

    @Fishoscandi is correct.

    Writ vouchers are earned by completing master writ contracts ... where the contracts are a drop for max level writ turn-ins.

    I encourage people to read the patch notes or do some sandboxing in PTS ... to understand how master writs work.

    Because, as we all know, the forums are going to be flooded in February when the patch drops ... with players who haven't paid attention and/or "didn't know this was coming."

    Used 2 of these master wirts and got a mission to craft purple mother sorrow sword with sharpened trait and trinimac style. Have no this style learned so disbant is only option, but wirt's started already used. I wonder if it'll ask crown store exclusive stalgrim style next time=).

    Currently the only items available in the motif are the Ebon Armory set that drops in Crypt of Hearts. As others have pointed out, it's going to be available to crafters when housing hits.

    I was under the impression that the ebony armour you see in Skyrim is the 4th era style of Ebony Armor.

    No. It is how the Nords craft their Ebony armor.
    Tamriel is not homogenous. Its not the same everywhere you go.

    How the Imperials and Dark Elves craft their armors is different from each other and the Nords
