How can I access a zone for a Thieves Guild quest that I have never visited yet?

I cannot access some zones for Thieves Guild quests because I have not visited them yet. How do I get access to the zones?

✭✭In addition to the NPCs in the above link, you can travel for free to any zone for which you have access where a fellow guild member is. So you can't do this to dungeons or Craglorn if not lvl 50. or DLC you don't own. But virtually any other zone is available this way. Check your guild roster, look for anyone in a zone you want, R click and travel there. You don't need to ask, it just works, and is free. Of course, you won't always find someone in a particular zone, so you may have to keep trying. I suggest logging in at prime time, and spend a few minutes just fast traveling to zones you cannot currently access. Once you unlock any wayshrine in a zone, the primary wayshrine for that zone will also unlock. Please note that you will not be able to pick the wayshrine you travel to using this method, and you may have some riding to do in zone to get to your ultimate destination.
If you are PC, there is an addon called Faster Travel which culls all your guilds and from a new tab on your map, you can see which zones have any guild member there. I dont have apps to help but if you take with nee chars 10m each play session to look up guildies and use the travel to you will find you can open all zones in no time and even multiple shrines in each.Proudly skooma free while talks-when-drunk is in mandatory public housing.
