I am simply trying to avoid using a staff for pvp and pve, I saw this video for pvp and it looks really fun to play.

incognito222✭✭✭Absolutely. Always preferred a playstyle that's up close and personal. I run SnB on both bars and the occasional SnB / DW For PVP and PVE.
Melee magicka dk will test your limits and over time, mould you into a better player as it tends to be more challenging to master when compared to other classes. Good luck and have fun.* Playing from Indonesia *1 -

✭✭✭With the dodge roll and shuffle Stam users in pvp I find useing a fire or frost staff very hard. I like sword and shield on both bars when solo if I'm doing 2-4 man pvp then I put a destro staff on my back bar but for the ult only.
When u play sword and shield you play with sturdy impen or full sturdy and points in cp to reduce the cost of block that way u can block cast feel more tanky and still dish out damage.0 -

✭For PVP it's often better to use either S&B or DW even on a Magicka DK. In PVE solo content you could make it work, but for group content you'll want to use a Staff for Elemental Wall, and Heavy Attacks for resource gain if nothing else.1 -

I do all the time. Just have a back bar destro or resto to pull mobs and then just swap to snb and just spam burning talons and engulfing flame. It's quite easyVyr Cor | Magicka Dragonknight | DC
