I first joined up with the CE edition on PC and tested in beta. Events have happened in my life that led me away from the game, and now I return. I remember there being allot of controversy back when it was first released for PC. Reguardless, not having my PC anymore I am starting on the PS4. I look forward to getting back in the swing of things!

Good luck out there, a lot has changed, may seem overwhelming at first. Stick with it, I'm sure there's some ps4 players here that may lend a hand or advice if needed.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I hate that I bought it for the ps4. But I won't have my computer up and running for some time, so this will have to do. Looking forward to getting back in the swing of things.

Ps4 looks smoother than xbone at least! You can get emp and top leaderboards easier too if you put the time in I hear!

Things have gotten so much better, what you see here are ppl crying about little things (like my sorc getting little nerfs that won't let me solo as many vet dungeons lol). The game is so much better than when you played! Enjoy it my friend
Message me if you want to do trials/dungeons, or need a trading guild! Flawless conqueror magsorc with a bad sense of armor fashion.

Welcome back enjoy the pve aspects of the game, stay away from pvp unless your a cheater or exploiter that's is pretty much all of cyrodill these days and zos turns a blind eye to cheaters.

    Yes welcome back.

PVP is not all full of cheaters, it is full of people who use the games *issues* to their advantage, as much as I hate it. many people are there just to play PVP or to get vigor, or just to play when they come out of work/school or what ever. Sometimes PVE is not interesting enough to players that they rather play PVP (in my case)

I would still check out Cyrodiil, yes you will encounter people with ridiculous resistance, proc sets, and zergs but it still can be fun if you run with the right people :)

PVP is a huge part of my gaming experience, and always will be. I enjoy both aspects. Created a sorc btw. But the big issue people had during PC release was: some believed addons were cheats, while others didn't. I can see the issue hasn't died much since release as I read through forums.

And thank you for all the welcome backs ! I'm very excited to finally be playing !

This is purely opinion, to say everyone cheats or exploits is a rather foolish opinion to have.

Ah, you missed the big cheat engine dust up. One night a few players brought full attention to it by spamming endless ultimates in pvp. Some bans were handed out, if the cheat engine still works, players using it are more subtle. Although yes, addons, like the one that detects players entering stealth are the current talk of the forum.

But enough about that. Here's a helpful link to help catch you up with all the changes. And welcome back.

I just returned after 18 months or so away from the game, I can say that I think the game is very, very much improved over how it was when I left.

    Have fun.

It's not perfect, but Cyrodiil does have it's moments.
an anonymous EP nightblade and Templar...
also; a warden and nightblade of the aldmeri flavour.

What do you mean good PVP. Large scale battles that used to happen ? And I do PVP and pve.

Strider means proc sets. Once you start running around leveling up a toon, you'll hear about it.

Though you should honestly get a good chunk of Champion Points before heading into Cyrodiil by yourself. So I would imagine you'll be playing around in PvE land for quite a while.

But while you're adventuring there, you can go shopping for item sets you would like to acquire. So be sure to check out all the new dropped item sets.

Yes the game is very new to me and overwhelming at this point. Just doing my main questline and leveling for the time being. Have allot to figure out, all in good time !

What I'm slowly trying to figure out now is if I want a magicka or stamina build. And a dps or healing build. As well as what type of armor to wear ! Blehhhh. I chose sorcerer btw.

Depends on what your goals are. If you're looking to jump into dungeons quicker, on PS4 NA, I have a much easier time queuing into the group finder with my Healer and Tank. DPS take while if you're going in by yourself. If you get buddies to run dungeons so you can DPS, you can avoid that.

Normal dungeons will be pretty good for getting skill points quicker if you're just starting out, Veteran dungeons and any DLC dungeon I would avoid til you're geared and ready for it.

Save the keys til you're CP160, then pop them open on the chests so you can get maxed level monster shoulder pieces. Speaking of pieces, you can get monster helms and shoulders from a PvP vendor in Cyrodiil that appears every Friday(8pm EST) and leaves I think Sunday night? Her wares cost 200,000 AP(piece will be Impen) and 100,000 gold (piece will be Infused). She also will have 2 different gold jewelry you can buy too for a hefty price. So make sure you save up your gold for that.

actually some advantages on console over PC. You lack addons which some people find favorable. If you get into PvP you will also find less likely the chance to encounter the cheaters, macros etc.

The add on issue was a huge debate back in the day when it came out for pc. Glad I don't have to deal with em on console !

Leaning torward something with some dps and more survivability. Something I can solo with but take into dungeons easily also. I'm thinking restoration tree with some damage skills. Reston staff, magicka build.
