You haven't even seen crazy yet.
If you've played SWTOR in the last year, you know what we're going to be seeing here before long. She has a history of making decisions based on greed.
We're not customers. We're a resource that exists to be exploited until the well runs dry.

It used to be even with greedy Korean games you could just pay the monthly sub and be guaranteed all the cool stuff. With the direction things have been headed since Casino Crates were rammed through, ZOS looks set to lower the MMO bar to all new levels of shortsighted greed, competing even with the likes of BDO. Now to get even half the stuff you want you have to cough up what? $50-$100 a month in crowns and gambling in the casino?
Now against their promise to never have crafting things in the Crown Store you couldn't get in game they are doing limited time Crown only motifs, and you can't even use them if you keep buying Crown Mimic Stones, like sterile GMO Monsanto seeds you have to keep buying year after year.
Never in 15 years of gaming have I been so disappointed in a company. The direction this company has taken since they brought this new casino crate team on-board represents the absolute worst this industry has to offer, and that's saying something, because this industry has a pretty reprehensible track record.
A cool combat system (though not particularly unique) and the Elder Scrolls name can only carry these tactics so far. It seems however that ZOS is no longer listening. Just like the worst in other industries and governments, they seem only to care about appealing to the whales who will throw hundreds of dollars a month at their casino betrayal of everything they started out representing.
I have no idea why. They started off so strong, so unique, with such a refreshing B2P model that wasn't ramming micro-transactions and pay gating down your throat at every turn. Why change now?
Really disgusted with the "leadership" of this company. It's like watching beautiful relics of history being blown to kingdom come by greed. I doubt we will even get an Elder Scrolls V now. It is a shame because I would drop this travesty in a heartbeat if we did.
Perhaps the real talent remaining will abandon this sinking ship and start their own game based on the integrity and vision that started off as such a promising new direction for MMO's that ESO was for the first years.
They have no one to blame but the people making these decisions against all the outcry of their community.

I still blame Microsoft and Sony for having their own mandatory subscription fees to play games online on their consoles. I think that played a big part among other factors that forced ZOS to drop the P2P model.

Fixed that for you. When they went B2P was when they started going down hill. Compromising with developement ideologies and eventually loosing Paul Sage.

Im far from a conspiracy theorist. But it looks like one of the fears of crown crates, aside from the ridiculous drop rates, is going to be coming true soon enough. Might want to get it while you can, because its probably going to be marked up from 5500 Crowns. But itll be much cheaper than chasing it in the Crates.

It's a bit ironic, that if the game is run as a business with the main purpose to make money, you will lose my business, you will lose my money, and I will say good-bye and not look back.
If you run the game as, well, a *game* with the main purpose of entertainment, then you'll get my business and get my money.
If you run the game as a full-fledged living, breathing, amazing dynamic virtual world, then you'll get my business, you'll get my money, and you'll have my loyalty.
Edit for clarification: A limited time crown store offer for an item available in game isn't a big deal. I just don't want to see stuff disappear from the game and become crown store exclusive.

Yes I saw it too. Every motif eventually comes to the crown store. This one just happens to be limited time. Whoopity doo! Oh look another useless motif! The tinfoil was in reference to your conspiracy theory. about price increases and motifs in crates.

Youre missing the point about the post. Its not about something being in the Crown Store. Its about it becoming LTO and that ZOS has made it known they will eventually put former LTOs in their Crates.

The day they put The Legendary Staff of Supremo Newb Melting in the store, you'll all have a point. Until then most of you are either jealous of people with cool looking stuff or complaining just to complain.
