So no house in this area. I was really looking forward to getting a house in Velyn Harbor. Maybe we get one in a later update. Disapointed. I will have to get the 1 mil house in Auridon. Best one for me so far.

Was anyone else wanting a house in the Velyn Harbor area?

I too wish there was a house there, since it is my favorite city to just hang out. There or in Skywatch. No such luck. Maybe in the future.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

Isn't Velyn Harbour under attack when you first arrive and until you do the quest? I can understand why there isn't one there.

    It is, good thinking.

If only we could rebuild the eastern part of the city, they could put a house there and we could unlock it by doing the quest. We have to get Hero of [Alliance] for each of the manors, so they could make it so you have to finish the Valyn Harbor quest for a house there.

My favorite place to be overall for writs and hanging out as well. I think it has the best layout and looks really cool. Really hope there is one in the future

I just visited Velyn Haror for the first time. I too would love a staple home here (something in the 150,000 price range)

They can easily make it so that the home can not be purchased until the starter quests are done, and no one can visit until they do the same starter quests. Simply say something like "You do not meet the requirements to visit this home...etc".

If someone purchases it with crowns, just have it auto complete the starter quest to unlock the city with a warning stating the quests will be auto completed.

Its really a beautiful area. I would like to see more homes in cities (not in the inns).

There's an apartment in Skywatch. It's fairly inexpensive, and I think it's a 100 slot parcel. Not too bad, if you want to reside in Skywatch. But yea, nothing in Velyn Harbor unfortunately. :-(

I love the apartments tbh - with 100 item slots (with ESO+) they're nice homes to have a bit of a cluttered lived-in feel. The barbed hook room in Skywatch has really high ceiling height too, I put in lofts on 2 levels :D

Adding a house you can get from liberating Velyn Harbor would be nice. Make it small. Bigger than an apartment. Smaller than one of the homes you could buy in the store or whatever. I've always liked Velyn Harbor and wouldn't mind a home there either.

I have never understood why velyn harbor isn't the capital of malabal tor. And thus have guild traders and player housing. Bandarri trading post gets very little traffic as there is no incentive to go there again after you have finished questing there. No bank and no crafting tables.

I would love a house in Velyn Harbor, preferably small or medium sized. Velyn Harbor isn't the only city to be under attack when you first arrive though; Arenthia is also occupied by enemy forces, yet there's still a house there (or well, it's just outside, but still). Where would it be though? The broken area? Perhaps one of the broken houses could become a player house, and the rest could be repaired sometime after your adventures there so that you wouldn't be neighboured by smoldering ruins.

It's a cool idea. The only problem is that houses are account wide. So, you could create a bizarre situation where you step out of your home on a new character only to turn around and see charred wreckage behind you (if we run with the rebuilding concept above)

They can just make the house instanced like for DLC. So if you have not done the city quest when you walk out the door you get ported and can only enter the house from the map
