The port hunding large house in stros mkai has an ocean view and way more yard space than other houses, complete with an ocean view like dcs manor, for only 1 million gold it is totally worth it. It is in elegant redguard style.

The Imperial large house has a huge garden, waterfalls, one of the best designed house with tons of rooms, stable, etc.

The Altmer large house has another huge and astonishingly beautiful garden, the largest house (even bigger than manors) and a small lake.

The Khajiit large house is very similar to the AD manor and similar in size.

The Nord large house has a picturesque snowy garden with the most "homely" house.

The Orc large house is a literally a "Castle in the sky".

The Argonian large house is literally a garbage dump.

Totally agree. Its only difference is furniture capacity. Capacity is quite low for all houses even manors. Even with ESO plus limit (which is the obvious strat here) I know this will cap many decorators' creations.

Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

Oh I don't have any character called Abeille, that's just me. The title is for my vampire, Beatrice Leoriane. She isn't of high birth but thinks herself a Lady and has delusions of grandeur.

I do have a character named Starke, so Lord Starke would be pretty snazzy. I've also got a character named Jenna Kain, which is actually a noble family from southern Bangkorai, so, that'd be nice to have.

Yes, you can preview them before buying. Unfurnished, though.

You can preview the furnished versions of every home. Use the Purchase key and you will see a menu with a drop down. It swapped instantaneously for me.

You cany only purchase from the preview itself I think. You can go through the crown store, use the map update you get from the initial quest, or physically use the front door at the location of the home.

Supposedly, if you select the furnished version in the purchase screen but exit after instead of buying, you get a furnished preview. They need to fix this.

The Lord/Lady title is, literally, the only reason I'm interested in the Daggerfall Castle.

This is what I'm struggling with right now. Before being able to preview I had decided I would definitely be buying the castle, for the title and because it's a castle, but now that I have seen it I'm really unimpressed. It's huge yes, but very dark and gloomy, and the wall outside keeps out the nice view. The Hunding's Palatial large house is so much nicer, even if it isn't my favorite architectural design.

I can afford both but I'm torn. Do I really want to throw 3.7 mil just at a title since I likely wouldn't use the castle much if I had the nicer views in the large home? Yes, it is only game money, but I still hate to waste!

That makes it perfect for my vampire who has been wanting a grim-looking castle that screams 'VAMPIRE!' :D

I've been thinking the same thing, several of the 1mil houses look almost as big (and in some cases more interesting) than the 3mil ones. Which is good for me because it's much less to save up if I decide I want something huge and impressive, but it seems strange.

I know the Daggerfall manor has the same layout as some of the actual castles in the game use, but it surprised me how small it looked.

Now don't go and give the seller the idea they are pricing their million gold houses too far under market rates! If you are looking for a personal estate I think those prices are just fine.

I think the biggest selling points for the manors are the titles you get and the higher amount of items you can place in them. Also you can allow more people to be in them at one time, right? Those seem to be intended more for status and social purposes so a higher price makes sense there.

yeah & that Garden is way too small for the size of the wall, it looms over you!

the imperial style house in Craglorn feels like a big garden with a nice cozy house by comparison.
not to mention the AMAZING view at Forsaken Stronghold...
