Not sure magicka nb needed a nerf, but whatever.

No. Some people still played it. The point is to try to make no one play it.

That Velocious Curse nerf hit me right into my hearth. Just as i started to enjoy my Sorc again after a year they go and nerf one of fundamental skills, and they nerfed it hard....

I hope everybody is giving test server feedback. That's what the test server is (theoretically) for.

I can't believe they nerfed strife for the magicka nb, but not incap strike for the stamblade. What are they thinking?

Have you ever seen the episode of South Park where they make fun of Family Guy's creative process?

I'm starting to think the same dolphins may be at work for ZoS.

Reduced the maximum amount of Ultimate that can be stored to 500 from 1000.

Really? Seems like when I use any ultimate it all goes to 0.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

What are the items we can add into home?

Are the items we found in crates like "small ship" count or it's new items only for housing?

    Thank you

"Coagulating Blood (Dragon Blood morph): This morph now heals you for 33% of your missing Magicka instead of 33% of your missing Health"

I understand that update is doing for balancing the game and i like to see they're working on that. But i was using Coagulating Blood to heal myself. Now what should i do? Healing magicka is not bad too maybe, but if i choose one, then i choose health. So, is there a way to re-choose the morphed skills after a giant patch like that?
Whenever i search for an alternative game, i realize that how beautiful ESO is...

I think that i will wait until these changes have been implemented into the game before deciding whether they are good or bad.
My biggest problem in pvp is that some players seem near impossible to kill even when getting hit by 5+ players. While i get that this is due to good builds it also leads to long fights which seems more like the pve boss grinds than pvp. 5 of us were attacking one player for something like 10 mins only for 4 to give up leaving me 1v1 with this player who i could not hurt. after 5 mins more fighting we both went our separate ways. While i am not a skillful player or anything like it i do want this game to be more about your skill than your build.
I no longer wear light armour in pvp now either due to the amount of damage players can do which means i now run with 7 heavy with imp trait. To me this game is becoming more about your build than your skill which is maybe a great leveler making the game easier to play for low skill players but not what i personally want to see.
Hopefully these changes will start to balance the game out more for pvp, not really into pve so i wont comment on that side.
    Take care folks

wtf is up with them rearranging the order of abilities? Now snipe is the first bow ability you unlock. In the sea of issues who stopped to think of this gem?

Yeah and what happens to the xp I invested in the one they're moving to the end of the line. I've got poison arrow to tier IV and I haven't unlocked the 5th ability yet. Will I have to level that one up again after it moves and I unlock it?

Well there is a catch about PvP in MMOs - it's impossible to make PvP purely skill based and achieve build diversity everyone is crying about.

Example of a game there PvP is mostly skill based is TERA. There are specific PvP sets (one for each class) that can only be used in PvP, and no other sets are allowed. As a result players have an even playing field but no build diversity. There is one build for each class (because builds are heavily determined by your gear) and that's it.

That is not the way ESO has decided to make their PvP. Instead the skill here is to create a proper build that will be effective for you. Because of that PvP in ESO is not so "skill-based' as some people want it to be. ZOS can't please everyone, so if you personally prefer purely skill based PvP it might be a better idea to look towards MOBA/FPS games. MMOs are not about skill based PvP and that's one of the reasons some people like them.

Dang. No longer going to bother getting the rest of my Black Rose set.

PvP crying strikes again. The 20 people in Cyrodiil should be happy now, until they move along to the next cheese set/build.

I really don't like the nerf of strife and it's morphs. It was only used my a scarce amount of magicka NB's and, although some preferred force siphon, there will be less. It was the skills i used if i wanted to go ranged. I though PvP was gonna get balanced a bit.

    I see nothing of it.

Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

Having returned to ESO from SWtOR (another game the Devs seem to have difficulty finding "balance" in) I am convinced that whatever data collection Devs use to determine if something needs nerfing is faulty.

I would suggest that for 12 months the Dev team work on the following premise "Whatever we determine the nerf should be from our data we should implement just 25% of that value as the initial nerf and then see if we need to continue nerfing".

That way changes are more manageable. I am sure we all understand that balancing so many skills will take time, and effort, and that not all the changes will be welcomed by everyone. However, I am convinced that "over nerfing" and indeed "over buffing" skills when it comes to tweaking things to get better overall balance is as harmful as doing nothing.

Smaller incremental changes are likely to lead to a balanced equilibrium sooner that wild lurches in one direction or the other. And - and perhaps more importantly - they are less likely to cause uproar among the players.

A player losing 30% of his "impact" is far more likely to be angry about it than a player losing 5%. At 30% a player will think"WTF are these Devs thinking, they just killed my build, I just can't recover from a 30% hit to effectiveness". At 5% a player will think "me'h, don't like it, but can probably tweak a few things and compensate". But here's the thing from the Dev's point of view. A 5% change may not be enough overall, but it'll keep most player playing and so give the Devs more data to see where things need to go, and if 3 months down the line another nerf is needed, then drop in another 5% nerf and the majority of players that thought "me'h, don't like it, but can probably tweak a few things and compensate" will think the same again.

Small steps equals more data, happier players and more chance to fine-tune things.
Huge jumps mean unhappy players, wildly varying data-sets to work with, and no real chance to fine-tune, because you'll be adjusting other things to compensate for the huge jump you just took.

Slow and steady wins the race.

I totally understand your point about build diversity. And I agree that MMORPGs are not necessarily the right place to look for skill based PvP. In fact I think MMORPGs are the wrong medium for skill-based PvP period.

The only logical compromise is to give players separate PvP Skills and Gear. Keep PvP and PvE as separate as possible. More work I am sure, but will eventually lead to both PvP and PvE being more balanced overall, and minimizes any impact the one has over the other.
