There are plenty of snares in cyrodiil already, liking this change. One really nice QoL adjustment is that frost doesn't snare, does maim instead.
With this change if I am running a lightening staff and I have the Destruction staff ultimate slotted I'll get the new bonus but the issue is that if you apply those bonuses the 5% damage nerfed is negated and no the Destruction staff ultimate deals 3% more damage then it currently deal on live. Please If am wrong here someone correct me.So lightening staff will be way better.Ancient Knowledge: This passive ability no longer decreases the cast time of your Destruction Staff Heavy Attacks by 5/10%. Instead, it grants you a bonus as long as you have one Destruction Staff ability slotted. This bonus depends on your staff type:
Flame Staves: Increases your single-target damage dealt by 4/8%.
Frost Staves: Increases the amount of damage you Block by 10/20%, and reduces the cost of Block by 15/30%.
Lightning Staves: Increases your Area of Effect damage dealt by 4/8%.
Not so sure about that. What's really crazy no one has said anything about it.In PVE Flame staff but in pvp frost and lightening staff will be way better. Not so sure about that. I wasn't going to point that out but correct. Should test it, only reason to keep fire staff will be because of all the vampires in Cyrodiil. That's not going to change since they did nothing about roots so DKs and templars still have to run elusive mist.
Looks very promising for magplar, that's for damn sure. I had wanted to try a frost staff build on live to take advantage of frost clench to root people, preventing them from evading the sweeps, roll dodging/bashing dark flare, or getting in melee range without burning stam. Now you can not only do that, but block with an ice staff on the heavy armor magplar, as well as take advantage of the obnoxious frost clench root to basically have infinite sustain between the radiant aura buff and the fact that frost staff/resto will make forgoing sword and board viable for face tanking builds. Don't care to do the math right now, but vma resto+ minor magicka steal+ channeled focus+ black rose + heavy armor resto heavy will result in sooooo much magicka sustain.
So we get magplars that can block and shield stack, with great CC, destro ulti, and far better sustain than the class has ever had. For Zerg groups that already run many magplars this is indeed a great buff. Too bad zerg players for the most part have never known how to take complete advantage of a class or game mechanics....

Hold your phone cotton, magplars have the worst CC of any class now that blazing spear no longer stuns.
But yea I've run a frost staff magplar now for a few patches and things just got very interesting. Also looking forward to that sustain.

Well this is assuming you run a frost staff. Im speaking specifically of the build I mentioned, which will have all of these things together. Frost clench is very potent, there was just no reason to run a frost staff before but lots of reasons now. Also, the ice destro ulti ccs. I agree tho that class CC's for templar are terrible.

Some guilds build for group dynamics.
Our offline chat has been crazy with speculative theory crafting since the patch notes were released.
Also there were lots of frustrated DKs.

Well you are in VE so you will zerg down theorycrafting just like you zerg down keeps with 2 full raids. You guys are like the idiot frats in college I didn't join who all shared the test answers, shared notes and did each other's homework while people like me did things the hard way because I wanted to prove my own skill.
VE is easily the most cancerous guild in the game that ever was. I can't wait to see 40 of you running the most perfect cheese builds under Zheg's leadership in a couple of months and having fun like a bunch of r tards while ruining the game experience for almost everyone else on whatever night you choose for your "raid night".
Edit: R tards
