I'm annoyed when I played a female character and people call me "he", but I'm not a "he".

    Female characters exclusively.

I made male characters on the PTS only to test the gender-locked cosmetics and that's it.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

Mostly female characters, but I do have 3 males (not counting mules). I find most people assume I'm the same sex as my character, but some people use male pronouns for everyone.

I rarely bother to correct people, but sometimes when I do the results can be amusing. Like this conversation:
Me: answered some question or other
Guy on zone chat: Thanks bro!
    Me: I'm a girl and you're welcome.
    Guy: Thanks lady-bro.
Random other person: If only there was a word for a female brother...

I play both. First two were female (Redguard and Altmer), third (Khajiit) and fourth (Argonian) male, fifth (Redguard) and sixth (Khajiit) female, seventh (Altmer) and eighth (can't remember) male.

But I got a little annoyed the other day when I got called a 'gent', twice in one day. Lol.

    Always female characters.

I don't really get why you'd be annoyed people call you "he" - the gaming community is still predominantly male, it's a natural assumption to make. I also know plenty of females who play only male characters. It's not very logical to assume a player is the same sex as their character. I refer to everyone as masculine unless I know otherwise, and actually find it mildly amusing when people assume I'm a guy.

But I don't get offended when people call me dude or bro. Maybe they don't see gender. We are all pixels online.

Yeah, I don't really mind either and I don't correct them.

I usually refer to everybody as "they", though, if I don't know their gender.

Still dunno why but when dudes play female characters in game it's weird to me. Especially when they get the super feminine name and dress them as fem as possible. I get you might be role playing but the whole excuse of "if I'm going to be playing I'd rather see a female characters booty" just doesn't jive with me.

It doesn't usually bother me when people assume I'm male in real life. But what does bother me is the rare occasions when for whatever reason I decided to correct someone and they refused to believe me. I once had someone (not in ESO) get really angry with me, to the point where I actually had to block him, because he refused point blank to believe I was female and kept accusing me of lying and "warning" everyone around not to trust me, saying I was a scammer and trying to manipulate people.

It was weird. We're approximately 50% of the population and it's really not that uncommon to find women on the internet and playing games so I don't understand why it should be so hard to believe, but apparently some people genuinely believe that line about how women never play games.

Someday I may try to create a male character, but for now they are all female.
