Bring back 1 character per PVP campaign?

I wanted to know your opinions too but I think its ridiculous you can be in DC one second, log out and into an AD character the next and be on their side.

The amount of cheating that goes on is disgusting and so blatantly obvious.

Before, it was 1 character per campaign and I really think this should come back unless you have more than 1 character in the alliance you start the campaign with. Then multiple characters can log into that campaign IF they belong to that same alliance.

You can only then change your alliance during the next campaign.

Thoughts?

See, even though I have rather a lot of alts in all factions, I would never bloody consider doing something like this as it would not be a decent nor honourable thing to do. Play that campaign for your chosen alliance & that's it.

And before people try & justify it by saying it's some sort of role playing as a spy or other guff - no it's not. It's cheating. Or just being scummy.

Yeah, having account slots full of active characters, many of them in PvP - i was not able to participate in Cyrodiil activities at all or forced to play in dead servers before this (god blessed!) change took place.

Now, I am sorry if that hurts your feefees but i simply don't care. I rather be able to play my characters than care about some guy on the internet crying that I have the ability to log another faction's toon, small price to pay IMO. However do i participate in the scummy activities you describe here? No, i just log on and enjoy my solo or small group PvP like i have done for the last 3 years. Why should I be penalized because some rotten apple somewhere decided roleplay a faction "spy"?

Adding a cooldown or other cost to switching alliance characters in the same campaign would help.
Should still be able to switch though.

erm the campaign is meant to be WON. How can you try to win on various factions? Makes no sense and you have absoluely no loyalty to your main faction

not claiming everyone who plays different factions are cheaters but a lot of people that do, are cheaters.

Lol people actually care about this? Most higher ranks don't even care. Its mainly the lower cp players who are fairly new to cyrodiil.

Got my vote, faction hoping in pvp in the same campaign is just bad and really hurts the over all game.

Yes ppl care. But ppl that dont care dont make a difference. Those ppl dont play for the map just ap. So it doesnt matter on which side they play on atm, it wont make a difference for your immersion.

What exactly do you consider cheating? Playing exactly like the game is designed to let you? K

1 Character per Campaign would not fix anything. Social Media, Text Messages and Live Streams makes the whole 1 Character thing useless. Anyone seriously interested in playing a spy or moving vital information between Alliances will do so with the host of means at their disposal.

Simply add a 10 - 20 minute wait period to entering a campaign with a different faction after your last character logged off or left the campaign. No it won't stop people who are simply delivering intel to other factions but it's a happy medium that adds a deterrence to gaining info and instantly exploiting that info for your own characters.

I may be stupid, but i dont understand what is this cheating he talks about. How is playing for more factions cheating?
I play on azura, and I personaly like to play as loosing side, with less population, because its more fun and chalenge, to be outnumbered and try to win against all odds. i dont enjoy being part of bigger "blob" and win because numbers. I switch aliances very often, to have most fun. That is why i play this game, to have fun!
And this crap about spies etc... who cares? why would anyone care? IMO i welcome enemy know where we go, and prepare defence. Its fun. Seriously, anyone enjoys ghost sieging? Taking empty, undefended keeps, and getting points, instead of doing actuall pvp? :-O

No. I like my freedom. When AD roflstomps the map at 8 in the morning on TF, I like to have the option to log EP/DC to find the good fights. (No, fighting in a zerg is *NOT* fun).

I like the freedom. It's too late to revoke that freedom, imo. Let me play with who I want - when I want. The whole point of 1T was so that every faction can play together - so I don't see what's so wrong about having/playing a character on all factions, if it means it'll increase your enjoyment of the game?

How can it be cheating though? That's what I don't understand. 4 or 6 people that usually plays DC, but logs AD because DC owns the entire map(which is quite common, to have one campaign completely one-sided) to find th good fights. How is that cheating? And don't tell me that 24 people says "yo boys, let us zerg from AD-side instead of EP side!". That just doesn't happen. At most, it's a farming group of 12 people that swaps alliances.

And tbf, if your alliance can't deal with 12 people stealing a scroll or sieging a keep(which rarely happens...), then you might want to educate the alliance.

Questions 1) How can it be cheating?
2) Why do you want to take away the freedom?
3) Why does the campaign matter? It's not like you get any decent rewards from winning a 30-day Campaign. Unless a few Ks in gold matters *that* much.

Nerf AD and DC numbers problem solved. You want a challenge be loyal to the pact and have 1 guy for 3 years Templar, and he is pact only. Made alt pact cause I was bored.

Cos you could always have multiple faction chars in the same campaign. So your so called "it should come back" is totally void and thus can be ignored

I don't mind people switching factions and for the most part people support whatever faction they are playing on. It's sort of like if you are playing in TF2 and switch from red to blue team, you don't just stand around and stop trying to earn kills.

At any rate, on NA PC there is essentially only one campaign that is not empty. The alternative would mean you couldn't participate in PVP in populated campaign on your other characters, and for many of us that's all we are interested in.
