Should Hats/Helms Display What's Under Them?

When looking at a variety of helms and hats, most of the time your hair and other details from the face will be removed. This can have the effect of making your character look bald or even headless in the case of the heavy nord helms that hide ones eyes. So I ask you, should ZoS add character hairs, details, and full faces under helms and hats?

Saying we want them and making it possible are two different things entirely.

Either they have to code the visuals for every single hair style and helmet combo (not happening), or they try to make generic ones that will obviously clip and might possibly make it worse.
Make PC NA raiding great again!

I like that they started adding hair to some hats. I hope they keep doing that.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

It is true that it would take a hell of a lot of time to mesh all the hair styles with the helms and hats. If they were to do it, people who spend a lot of time with gear and their appearance may find it to be worth it.

They already added hair to some hats, though.
The hair matches the texture of the hair and sometimes the length. There are a few variations. It's good enough in my opinion.

I think it could be as simple as having helmets be separate entities that are just locked onto the character model, but then that would just lead to major clipping issues.

In some ways I actually like the hats less when they do actually have hair attached to them, because it never looks like my character's hair... And looks even less like my character than just having a hood with no hair under it. At least when there is no hair like with the current festival hoods, I can imagine she has her own hair tied up under it. :p

Obviously though, it would be amazing to be able to have your own hair style under a hat or hood. Although it may be impossible, I really wish it wasn't!

My number 1 complaint since April 2014. My glorious Khajiit mane has been removed with the majority of head-worn items.

It'd be cool. I wouldn't say it, "should," be visible. But, it'd be a cool customization option to have.

Yes it would be great, but I think that ^ is how it'd go. And I'd rather just hide the headwear than have my ponytails wildly clipping through the helmet.

It has to do with the way the game engine works. No game does this. Every game, except maybe single player games, will still display the hair and hang it out the helm or like a circle under a cloth hood.

Yes just yes! I despise helmets unless their good looking. I 90% of the time hide helmets. Because it makes my character look...well just weird. As mentioned helmets mostly make your characters look bald. If you give a character hair in the character creator, then the character should have hair in-game. Even if their wearing a helmet. I realize it might be hard for Zenimax to actually make this change. But its one that would be appreciated.

I was really glad to see that the new version of the Robin Hood hat (I forget the name) actually leaves some of your hair showing. I know it's only a minor thing, but it always bugs me when headwear makes my character suddenly bald. Worrying about losing my hair in real life is bad enough - don't subject my video game characters to that too! :p

    ...when it makes sense.

Some helpets or hats will hide things. But... amny more should not. If a character with long, flowing hair puts a hat on, the hair should not just vanish, right? And yeah, I nnoticed some head coverings are starting to take that in account, and I liked it! More of that, please! ;)

I love my Alliance War Hood but my beautiful Nord, her soft face looks really awkward and oddly shaped when she's bald beneath this hood, if it showed even a little bit of pulled back hair it would look so beautiful.
