Went from being a beta PC player to PS4 when it launched but maintained my PC account.
Now I am back playing on PC but maintaining my PS4 account as well.
Nice to have friends and family on both and have had nothing but good experience on both platforms barring bugs.
Need a category for both. lol
Pros:
-It seems to run smoother, bar swapping is more reliable during lag (I used to run it on a i5 with a 3gb HD7970, if you've got more up-to-date hardware it might be smoother on PC than on PS4)
-It's nice to have a clutterless UI and having to pay attention to animations rather than timers
-It's actually really awesome playing with a controller, it feels very smooth and "natural"
-Level playing field (the above two points can also be achieved on PC, but will put you at a disadvantage compared to other players, that's not the case on console)
-Great built-in voice chat (don't know if this has been added to the PC client since)
Cons:
-No addons also means you are left more in the dark with regards to evaluating DPS and rotations, as well as Guild Store prices
-You might need to manually remap a few buttons on the controller, which the client doesn't allow but the PS4 system settings can do for you
-No PTS
-Player base is smaller, noobier, and a lot more immature / socially challenged
-You can't transfer your crowns, purchases or characters from one platform to the other (deal-breaker for most people)
All in all I am somewhat happy about changing platform, as it just suits me to sit in a sofa and play relaxed. It has however severely limited my desire to participate in group content, it's like a kindergarten most of the time.
I'm an original pc to console transfer, wit that sexy senche tiger mount thooooo lol. Got to veteran rank on pc then paid when the offer wuz available to copy my characters to both consoles xb1 n ps4. I made it to VR16 on xb1 n played there for the 1st yr or so but now I'm currently playing on ps4 pro n I'm at cp 296. Haven't looked back at pc since the transfer.
As much as I like the PS4 and the convenience it offers, i'm a PC gamer at heart. Have been for about twenty years. When my old PC finally said enough is enough, the PS4 served me very well as a temporary solution. I could ill afford to build a new system at that time, and i've grown quite attached to the console.
However, I much prefer ESO on PC. The graphics on a dedicated monitor are much improved over what I experienced on console. I prefer the PC interface as well. PC gaming just feels natural to me.
The only downside for me from starting off on one format and moving to another is the loss of progress. I would have loved to somehow transfer the characters across from one to another. Mind you, that is a minor frustration when compared to the fact that previous Crown Store items, bought when playing on PS4, are no longer available to me due to this limited time availability nonsense. But that's another story, for another thread...
I originally started on the xbox around launch, then left over a year ago because of the complete shambles that was ESO+ on that particular platform. ZoS were no help whatsoever and I was so irate over the shoddy treatment I received it put me right off the game. I returned about 3 months ago only because I had moved over to the PS4 and knew there wasn't any issues about receiving crowns. Props to those who haven't received their monthly allocation of xbox crowns, yet still persevere with the game or more to the point, ZoS.
If i ever encountered the same issue, met with the same awful automated responses I did the last time, I simply wouldn't ever return to the game again. I think such is the mindset of many gamers nowadays, corps attempt to hide behind the false facade that they're doing us a favour. No, we're the ones doing them a favour buying their products.
I keep telling myself I should've bought this for PC, then at least I wouldn't have to pay $60 every year for Xbox Live Gold. But I'm way too invested into my Console account now to change, it would be too heart breaking to lose everything and start over from scratch.
What I would like to know is what all this gifting nonsense entails. I have many crown store items on my xbox account, some of which are still available via the CS, and I'm wondering if those mounts, pets and costumes that are still on the CS are able to be gifted to others?
Always played on PC. Using a keyboard is way easier then using a controller in my opinion. Plus graphics are better on PC. As far as I know you cant update a console graphic card. You can easily buy a good graphic card for a computer.
We Fight For Cyrodiil.
We fight for The Daggerfall Covenant.
We fight for The Aldmeri Dominion.
We fight for The Ebonheart Pact.
We fight for Tamriel!

Ditto. I would probably have stayed on PS4 if only it allowed addons. Built-in voicechat is sweet.
You can pry my keyboard and mouse out of my cold dead hands.
Only after you pry my controller from mine.
But seriously, this game does play really well with a controller. Been playing with one since launch (first with Xpadder, then on PS4, then with the built-in controller support on PC).
I swapped from xbox to pc, after playing on xbox since launch there. This game was incredibly fun on consoles. But seeing the game on pc, with all the addons etc and also having a much more populated server, definitely converted me to pc gaming.
but i do play mainly from my pc with M&K....but i use steam streaming because its nice to sit in my lazyboy chair at home in my recroom and play ESO as well. My Steam controller works perfectly with this game and i wont discount how nice it is to play this game on a 45" 1080p TV Just use a wireless mouse and keyboard downstairs with me to login from the chair.
i just launch the game through Steam client adding the launcher to my games list in steam and in 5 minutes and a few very minor tweaks to the controller settings and boom.. i am wandering the world! I suck at using a controller still regardless but this is about the only game i suck using a controller the least.
I went from Xb1 to Ps4 back to Xb1.
lol.
Am even considering switching to PC due to the lack of End game Guilds that take end game serious on consoles.
Went from PC to Xb1 to PS4.
It's been quite a ride completing the main quest, all the other quests, and the achievements all over again, thrice. Might not seem much work, but it felt like it, to me.
First move happened because I quit PC gaming, in preference of consoles.
Then moved from Xb1 to PS4 because the Pro came out, and I couldn't wait for Scorpio.
But I seem happiest on the PS4, so it wasn't all that bad. Only really sad for losing certain mounts and costumes.
Another brightside to it all: I learned to play my StamDK. Have stuck with the class throughout the platform changes.
