Tea bagging in PVP, what is your opinion lol

I'm usually too busy raging over my mistakes while reading the death recap to notice someone's tea-bagging me.
I've been tea-bagged, though, but take pride in the fact that I've never tea-bagged anyone.

I don't like it either when my friends do it.

If you killed me, you've earned the right to teabag me. I have never teabagged anyone in ESO, and probably never will (too busy fighting others usually). Someone teabagging me? IDGAF. They are a stranger I care little about, and it's just a game. My "honor" is not on the line. lmao

So other forms of trolling are ok by the same rationale? No principles?

Strawman. The conversation is about teabagging, therefore my response was about teabagging. Not all forms of trolling are the same. Some forms cease to be "trolling" and become "harrassment". Harrassment is not ok. Not all trolling is harrassment. Teabagging alone can rarely qualify as harrassment. Stick to OP's conversation.

Disagree. Teabagging to my reading matches the definition well. A lot of tea baggers dont realize this though and wouldn't consider themselves trolls. But it fits the black and white so far as I can tell.

And obviously I'm not done I was wrong.

I'll correct myself than: "Teabagging alone can rarely qualify as unacceptable/harmful harrassment, as judged by a mature majority.

You are in the minority viewpoint, and thank God for that.

Right? The vast majority of people are based in reality and barely even notice someone's teabagging them.. They're level-headed and not going to get all excited about a video game.

Well it is a sexual assault, and should be treated that way.

Doesnt matter if it is a game or not, it is still enough to have a sexual harassment charge filed. When a person takes an action, meant to be offensive, and by nature is done in a sexually themed manner, you can end up on one of those predator lists.

All you need is a video capture program like fraps, have the game set so you see their @names, file a support ticket with Zos so it is legally documented on their side and then contact the authorities for cyber crime.

and heaven help the 20something that does that to a female minor that gets their parents involved. You could end up in jail because of it. Gets even worse when you start to factor in international laws... i would love to see some top pvp player get extradited and spend the rest of their days in a Chinese prison. See how they like the gank mechanics then, lmao

Can we just stop for a minute and all agree that the quoted material is absolutely bananas? @Dev has gotta be an epic troll, right?

I'm not really alone on this. Anyone got a poll though? I'm open to acknowledging being in the minority.

You don't really need a poll to know that you are in the minority.

FACT #1: A discussion about teabagging RARELY ever gets made in any videogame forum, regardless of the game, as it is a practice that is generally accepted and/or ignored. By this single fact, we can infer that the majority of forum readers are NOT bothered by it, or it would be on the front page every single day, like skill nerfs and the like. From this we can infer you are in the minority.

FACT #2: The practice is generally accepted and/or ignored because mature individuals have accepted already that people in the world will do what they want, when they want, and are not obligated to listen to each other as long as laws and major societal norms are not broken. Teabagging has not qualified yet to be discussed in societal norms. It is the truly immature person who thinks the world should conform to their wishes, rather than conform to the world's. This can also lead us to infer you are in the minority.

FACT #3: Teabagging has not qualified yet to be discussed in societal norms because videogame players are a small subset of society as a whole, thus already qualifies as being a minority themselves.

FACT #4: You being a forum reader, already makes you an even smaller minority, as only a small subset of the ESO playerbase actually has visited the forums. Even if you had a poll, and you got 50 people to reply, all saying teabagging is wrong, you would still be 50 people compared to ALL of ESO's playerbase. How many people, in all time zones and servers, are playing ESO? Several thousands? 50 people would still likely be a minority, and arguably a biased, also not large enough, sample size to draw acceptably valid conclusions.

Minority on top of minority on top of minority.

    Teabagging is done.

The other day this guy was hanging, stealthed at a resource, and trying to gank. I was kinda rolling with 3 random others, about 150CP guys. We had 7 encounters with him. 3 of the encounters we lost 1 or 2 guys and killed him. 3 of the encounters it came down to him and me, and I killed him. The seventh time it was just him, me and about 7 NPC's. I died. I looked at the death recap and it was all NPC's. I watched, laughing, as this *** tea bagged me about 50 times. Then ran away for about 30 seconds, and then came back and tea bagged me about another 50 times ... living the dream.

... that pretty much nutshells what TB'ing has become, and the reason why I won't ever do it. Basically, because I'm not a gigantic ***.

    Teabagging is tantamount to ***.

Such actions speak a thousand words about the actual person behind the game character.

If anyone thinks it is funny, necessary and ok to do it, then I susspect that the person behind the game character has a serious problem. o:)

I think its funny that people (including myself) get offended from it. Its nothing personal at all, but I can understand how people are getting offended from it. Depends on the situation I guess. I think the less we cared about it, the less teabag it would be as well.

For further clarification. NO, teabagging in a video game is not tantamount to anything in the real world, especially not actual sexual assault.

I think it's mildly funny in a sort of helpless inane way. On PS4 everyone teabags all the time for some reason, sometimes during fights which often leads to an untimely (but quite humorous) death of the wannabe bagger. For some folks, especially the PlayStation crowd, teabagging is a VERY important aspect of the game, apparently.

It's cute when you see a newbie dart across the battlefield to make his first cautious attempts at teabagging, doing it so slowly that it really doesn't look anything like teabagging at all (common occurrence using PS4 controllers), but still feeling all accomplished and proud.

I like it far better when people do silly emotes or laughs (some of the character voices have a delightfully scornful laughter) but I really don't care about the teabagging at all. From my view (and probably the view of most normal people / non-gamers) the joke is really on the teabagger himself.

I used to strive to progress my career and provide a better and better life for my family. I used to like to gear up and get kills in Cyrodiil... now, I don't care about any of that. I just want to teabag you.

So triggered. But unlike you, I get vicious when triggered, not just more pathetic.

No harm I guess - but neither is the guy tailgating and honking someone following posted signs, someone whose dog craps on your lawn and doesn't pick it up, someone who eats your sandwich out of the fridge. No harm I guess. But they're doing inconsiderate things or kinda trolling. But since this is teabagging add the *** - the sandwich eater draws his junk on your empty sandwich bag maybe.

Oh no that is funny. I might even do it now. What do I believe!?

all of your analogies are completely meritless. Not even close.

Can you grow up and realize video games are not real and no one can hurt you or affect your real life while playing them?

Unless you're on a PS4 and someone snags your IP and starts trying to compromise your system, nothing that happens in ESO should logically affect your real life.

None of your analogies make any sense.
