2h DPS build

I'm not looking to be the best at anything. I don't plan on PvPing much, if at all. I do not plan on trying to solo dungeons.

I'm probably going Stam. The question is:

Which class(es) best suit a 2h melee build.

Go Stamplar or Stamblade so that you at least have a worthy spammable attack.

It's important to keep in mind that if you aren't doing any PvP, then it's probably not worth running 2H, because you don't need the utility you get from the 2H skills in PvE (usually the tanks and healers have you covered in the utility department) and DW deals way more damage.

That being said, I agree with this:

On top of that, Rally patches up the Templar's weakness of having no class-based access to Major Brutality.

Any class work, that just depends on how much effort you put into it. Having a spammable attack is not a requirement.

5x TBS, 2x Kra'gh, 4x VO/Alkosh, Maelstrom bow. Would probably drop the vMA 2h and maybe go Heavy Attack-ish, or try to find an alternative to the crit Rush. 2h isn't an option that has been explored all that much in competitive environments, and you can absolutely get similar DPS to DW if you exclude maelstrom daggers.

Right now, I still consider DW front bar to be superior, but there's a lot more to research on the matter of 2H / DW and 2H / Bow builds in PvE.

Pretty sure DK is literally the only class with enough dots to do a full dot rotation like that. And you'd still be far stronger with VMA weapons, as you mentioned.

I do think, especially for dungeons, AOE is going to lack pretty hard with 2h when compared to steel tornado. You can still caltrops and endless hail but the 2h AOE is pretty weak. Nightblade largely shores that up with Sap (still not as much damage without the execute scaling), at least.

Dragon knight. Front bar with molten armaments, wrecking blow, executioner, rally and camo hunter with flawless dawn breaker. Back bar with noxious breath, venomous claws, razor caltrops, rearming trap and either vigor or flames of oblivion. Run standard of might here. It doesnt matter which weapon you run on the backbar but you might find the bow appealing for ranged utility.

Use theif for a mundus with medium armor in divines. Velidreth is a good set ( i would say the best) because a lot of your time in dungeons and trials are aoe fights. You'll want hundings rage for your armor and agility for your jeweleru with weapon damage enchants on your jewels.

Pretty simple rotation, keep rearming trap, venomous claws, molten arms and rally up at all times. From there its just hvy atk>wrecking blow until execute phase which you then drop standard then spam execute until its dead.

Noxious breath applies major fracture in an AoE cone great for trash fights but on boss fights not really worth it since your tank should be applying m. Frac through taunt. Molten arms gives you a 40% bonus to heavy attacks. Heavy attacks give you a 10% damage increase to your next attack. Wrecking blow grants you 20% additional damage to your next attack. Keep this in mind when you have to reapply rearming trap and venemous claws, it will give them bonus damage.

2h - evil hunter, rally, venomous claw, wrecking blow, executioner, flawless dawn breaker
Bow- poison injection, endless hail rearming trap, acid spray, flames of oblivion, standard of might
    Templar
2h- biting jabs, rally, executioner, repebtence, rearming trap, flawless dawn breaker
Bow- poison inject, endless hail, acid spray, power of the light, caltrops, flawless dawn breaker
    Nightblade
2h- surprise attack, rally, killers blade, camo hunter, Relentless focus, incap strike
Biw- poison inject, endless hail, acid spray, rearming trao, Siphoning attacks, flawless dawn breaker
    Sorcerer
2h- bound armaments, hurricane, execytioner, wrecking blow, evil hunter, flawless dawn breaker
Bow-poison injection, acid spray, endless hail, rearming trap, crit surge, ballistic

Quick ideas of what will give you most damage which each class. Dual wield is superior but play the way you like. I recommend using acid spray for aoe over brawler because brawler is terrible. On nb and templar you can do aoe with power extraction or biting jabs but nothing beats steel tornado. On a sorc using crit rush with crit surge, you have a guaranteed heal on damage but I think sorc with a 2 handed weapon would by far be the most boring. On a dk with molten armaments you could get away without using a spamable like wrecking blow and instead use heavy attacks and rotate dots (HA, claw, HA, breath, HA, trap, etc) I personally think dk would be most fun and have most damage potential but templar and Nb don't require wrecking blow which is a God awful skill. Good luck
