So I've somehow manage to get into your group from queuing a random vet/normal or doing a pledge. So you're here to farm for gear, right? Great! I'm happy for you and happily obliged in assisting you in your journey to become a better player. If I come across a certain loot that I get... I will share that loot in the chat for all to see... even go as far as asking the chat whoever desires the item that I received from a dead boss carcass.

Here is how you can *** off this once helpful player... by snooping around my personal private loot from installing an addon into your game that I prefer to stay private... perhaps I have needs for it, and I decided not to make it public? You want that Divine stash? Not so fast! At the end of the dungeon I generally ask people if they desire such item, and willing to give it away for free, but! You decided to ask me for an item in my inventory that I haven't yet made public.... you really want that Divine stash? Or divine whatever I got? NOT SO FAST! I was going to help you now I'm going to help my ESO plus crafting bag by deconing that divine stash, and getting materials off of it.

Next time respect peoples privacy and let them make the decision by offering such item in the chat.

You want that Divine stash? you really want that Divine stash?

I had no idea mustaches were dropping as loot now in this game.

I may actually have to start playing this game again.

Is there a phobia that goes along with this? I imagine there must be. What is the fear of saying no called?

On a semi related note i am now really confused. Are you angry or not angry that people wont share their equipment with you?

Lol you got it all backwards kid, if people are bugging you for the loot that's when you charge them. Plenty of times I've run dungeons and someone can see my loot and asks for it, my response is always "15k" it's yours.

You'd be surprised how often people actually pay for it too.
I only charge those who bug players for their drops, most times I'm like you tho and give those "stashes" out for free to the nice people.

You gotta establish dominance over your loot early if someone's begging for it.

Edit: just wanted to add that a lot of times the people bugging for loot also like to claim they have no money, if that's the case go ahead and equip the item they are begging for since you'll decon it later anyway and then link it in chat and say sorry it's bound now you penniless beggar. That always goes well :)

I agree with the OP. I find loot snooping mods intrusive and refuse to cooperate with users. My loot is my business. Like the OP, I am very sharing, but not with loot snoopers. All I can do to discourage use of such mods is to just say no when asked about loot by someone clearly using one of these intrusive mods.

Thing is there are A LOT of players that remains silent the whole PUG'ed run; players that are incredibly slow to check the items he/she just got, open the inventory and link; players that have no idea of the usefulness of a set; and most important of all liers that agreed to share loot between the group explicitly stating they won't need and that leave the group as soon as the boss is killed.

The addon is harmless and tremendously useful. If you don't like tou play fool asking "how did you know that, bro, are you a wizard?" or simply ignore any sort of comment requesting the item

Who cares if everyone can see your loot? Get over yourself. These addons help us acquire this sometimes impossible to get gear by letting us know what may be within our grasp. You can simply say yes or no to a trade which is your right but the information itself is a harmless factor. You being offended by this is illogical and speaks on your selfishness no matter how much you try to laud yourself. Karma man, I hope you are denied what you need for some petty ill conceived reason.

So you think that just because you manage to download and install an addon that allows you to peek at what everyone in the group gets from loot that you're entitled to get such item? it's you that need to get over yourself and quit begging for items that isn't yours.

As for Karma... yeah don't you feel the burn? The burn of me not giving you what you want, and deconing the item that you want for mats. That's your Karma from me for peeking over my shoulders at the loot that you have no business in knowing. Have fun farming the same dungeon again and again for that item that I was about to give you, but you had to ruin it by snooping.

Explain to me why It's petty and selfishness? You never explain it to me at all. Also what gives you the right to peek at what other people get without their permission? Do you think that's right? Sure ZOS has some pretty crappy programmers that allows other players to exploit the coding, but don't you think that players should be allowed to have some sort of privacy?

Also since you're so full of salt that you can't even read my first post.... or have some kind of poor reading comprehensions going on (Perhaps due to the salt) I will copy and paste what I on my first post again.

"So you're here to farm for gear, right? Great! I'm happy for you and happily obliged in assisting you in your journey to become a better player. If I come across a certain loot that I get... Now how the hell is that being petty and being selfish?

Unless I'm going into a group specifically to farm some set I don't really want anyone begging for pieces during a pledge or random PUG nor do I do it. I don't even want to look in my bag: just get the dungeon done and look later.

I really don't care if they're using Wykyd's or Lui or any other addon that snoops my loot - the answer is still the same no.

I get tired of healers doing it in WGT. I may be on my stamsorc but I have a Templar healer too that already uses SPC + Salvation. But not everything is Divines or the right weapon or the jewelry I want. If I get a rare good SPC drop, I'm keeping it. I've even had healers try to talk me out of a piece because I'm not there on my healer... sorry bud, the answer is still no. It brings back not-so-fond memories of the old WOW need/greed system lol.

You want to grind some gear? Put together a grind group and do it.

Personally I think there should be an ingame option to show group members loot history(while grouped). I don't mind other people seeing mine. It makes it easier on me when someone sees it themselves and asks for it instead of me going through looking to see whats worthy to offer and then posting it in chat.

What I would find annoying... Is someone believing they are entitled to the loot I get because it fits a build they are working on and my current character "doesn't need it as much". I haven't seen that yet in this game, but I fully expect it to happen at some point.

The solution seems simple enough (in theory). If the game allows such a mod to be used, then the game should also provide players the ability to choose to allow the snooping or shield against it. Everybody's happy.
