You threatened to banned me because some whinny person got offended by my character's name (Dönald J Trump) I do not understand what is so offensive by it. You even sent me an email and an in game mail telling me that I will be banned if it happens further. I don't care what the community says or does with this post. Sometimes small things (that ZOS do/don't do, and the forum salt) can push people to give up on ESO. It seems like a lot of people are leaving or thinking of leaving.#1 tip (Re)check your graphics settings periodically - especially resolution.1 -

The important thing to learn here is that even if you think the rules don't apply to you they actually do. Rage quitting the game because of that is just childish.4 -

Unless ZOS is being different even with policy, it's common for names associated with religion or politics to be forbidden because of the drama it causes.
Though I'm sure you knew that when you picked such a name to begin with because that's always the reason someone picks such a username, to incite.
It's like those people who always pick such incredibly offensive costumes for halloween, such as dressing like ***, then they complain how they are the *victim* because people are telling them they shouldn't dress like that and then argue it's not offensive but 'funny'. People like that always pick such a costume because they know it causes drama and just wish to argue with people over something they know they have no leg to stand on.
You know they don't want you using the name, pick something more appropriate and deal with it, and rather than say "I see other names etc" report them too maybe. If you saw people with similar names and didn't report, then you can't use that to make a point because you chose not to do anything about it when you saw it.1 -

Wow, you quit a game THAT YOU PAID FOR because you can't have character named DT? Plenty of other people have been banned or reprimanded for their names and I still continue to see ridiculous names.
Honestly, if you want to play a RPG and name yourself Chuck Norris, Donald Trump, or Mike Mouse, that's fine. I won't report you, but I know plenty of people who would report you cause it breaks their immersion. Also, I'm pretty sure Barack and Hillary names have been reported and warned too. Also, it depends what you said in zone chat. I bet you had some priceless gems of insight into the world order and American politics *sarcasm*

Just following what's his name's example. After all its perfectly normal for the President, one of the most ridiculed people ever to start a twitter war over someone's opinion about his restaurant. How many people are active in the game? Can someone check every name of every character? Or do they get them as they are reported or spotted? I've seen questionable names, and I've seen complaints in zone chat later that they had to change the questionable name. Nothing personal involved.

If you can't play a game and be a part of a social group (the community) without naming a character something offensive or something intended to cause controversy, just go away. It makes everything better for those of us who actually want to enjoy a game.
