If you are in a town and see one random person dead on the ground, please res them. Chances are high it's a PVPer who just crashed and can't revive themselves. Get unstuck doesn't work either.

Thanks

I thought this was about places like stormhaven where the wayshrine is two steps away.

It's not the duelers I'm talking about. Often when you crash in Cyrodiil you get booted out of the game completely. On XBox I get dashboarded for example. After I log back in, it's a blue death screen with no option to use any wayshrine. You are totally limited to either requeueing for PVP (could take an hour in a worst case scenario), or waiting for a person to res you with a Soul Gem. The game treats you as if your PVP dead as opposed to PVE dead.

Dueling deaths, conversely can instantly res themselves without a soul gem needed.

Hahaha. Well if nothing else you can identify how popular it is by bodies laying dead in Stormhold.

Same. Turns out he's talking about towns in Cyrodiil.
Edit: No he isn't. He's talking about zoning into PvE towns dead after dying in PvP and getting disconnected.

That can't be working as intended. Even with a PvP death you should have the ability to revive at any keep. If that option doesn't persist beyond disconnection (like the "Here" option in PvE doesn't always persist), ZOS need to add a secondary "Release" option to PvP deaths which will rez you at your border keep.

Yeah. Absolutely not working as intended. I know I'm not the only one either.

Also, to further explain, when you try to revive it shows you the Cyrodiil map but the res points are grayed out (because you're outside of Cyrodiil) but the PVE wayshrines are also unselectable. You're basically in stuck in a time loop vortex of stupid.

One more clarification. It's when you crash ANYWHERE in Cyrodiil. Crashes, as many know, happen all too often in large battles. When you crash and log back in, you are put back to wherever you were in the PVE area that you were when you queued into Cyrodiil.

This is why you'll frequently see me dead in the Stormhold bank. Because I crashed at Bleakers or something.

This only started when someone decided not to put people who lagged out instantly back into PVP with One Tamriel. One of the less stellar ideas that has been implemented.

Ah of course, because you died to PvP in Cyrodiil, but when you got d/c'd and relogged, you zoned in, dead, in PvE-land. And you can't travel to keeps from PvE-land. The "Release" option is definitely what's needed then, as that would send you to the nearest wayshrine. I'm pretty sure there's already a "Release" option for a PvP death in Imperial City, so it shouldn't be too hard to add for the rest of Cyrodiil.

There are two great and one good solutions for this, wish any (or all) were implemented:
    1. Fix crashes obviously, they are far more common with 1T
    2. Lock freed PVP slot to players that got booted out for any reason so they can instantly return
    3. Fix this bug

The worst part was number 2 was how it always was. As long as you were back in within 10 minutes you got right in.

That said, the queue does seem to be about 3-4 times faster than it used to be. 70 in queue used to mean 45 minutes and now it's like 15.

Appreciate the info. My character is a very conscientious healer and scanning health bars all around her (even in town) is a habit cultivated by her role. It took a bit of discipline not to try and heal duelers as they were hurting each other, lol. She figured most other injuries in town were 'suicide by cop' and, frankly, she'd prefer to heal the guards than thieves/murderers if she could.

Reading this though, she'll try to more carefully evaluate dead players and if it does not appear to be death by guards or dueling, try to resurrect them.
