What happened to loyalty rewards?

c.reevesnub19_ESO
When was the last time someone got a loyalty reward for continuing subscription? Or are the crowns are 'reward' for subbing another month?

I figured we'd at least get a couple potions or glass frag motif page once every three months for sub or something. I mean the tiger mount was bad ass.

I'd like my striped senche. I've got 562 days on console version. Has to count for something? Right?

Not really. Since subscription is considered "optional" after the game went B2P, there's no point in encouraging further. It's more of a "premium" membership that has nice benefits and gives you more access to the game.

I mean, logically it would work that way. Knowing ZOS, they would probably add it anyway as an incentive for more subscription sales

I actually think it has more of a point on encouraging it than before, exactly because it isn't mandatory.

Before, not being able to play if we didn't pay the subscription was a good incentive to subscribe already.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

Loyalty rewards now come as incentives added to your subscription. You get "free" crowns per month, 10% extra XP, a free crafting bag (totally worth it!), and small tokens when new content is released. (With Orsinium- we got a non-combat pet)
Want to enjoy the game more? Try both PvP (crybabies) and PvE (carebears). You'll get a better perspective on everyone's opinion.

Didn't everyone get that vanity pet who bought or had access to that dlc? I don't think I initially subbed when i first activated Orsinium and I still got the pet. Maybe I'm just imagining that i did. All i know is I have that annoying little thing and didn't sub.

Of course. I just don't think it makes sense logically. In terms of business and profit, why not? :P

You could be right. As you know- part of the subscription is that we get all the DLC automatically... so, if it was a DLC perk, then I guess we all get it.

Ya, I've had access to all the dlc 'perks' (assassin personality, jackal vanity pet, etc) but when you stop paying the sub the DLC is no longer available unless you purchased it separately. The vanity stuff stays but the zone is inaccessible.

If they did bring back loyalty rewards what do you guys think would be fair?

Being a crafter, I personally want a rare crafting page/book (like glass bc it's so expensive and hard to get) once every three months. And with the houses rolling out it would be cool if they integrated new furniture crafting writ rewards.

Yeah the crafting bag alone is worth the sub.

I've gotten a few other friends to come back recently and they just want to F2P. As soon as I told them about the crafting bag they subbed lol.

The subscription is the loyalty award..... you don't need it to play, but if you do it you get rewards. Before people had to pay and got nothing in return but acces to the game, hence they were treated something extra.

Well to get the PC tiger mount you had to be with them since the beginning (subscription for about a year) so the system was more along the lines of rewarding the players that have been playing for a long time, not simply new subscribers.

I get that you pay and get boosts for paying but they had a system in place that rewarded players for subbing for long periods of time. And it worked retroactively

PC players went 9 months with no new content and a lot of bugs that never got fixed while the console version was being developed. We deserve the Tiger mounts for the aggravation. Bwahahahaha!!! >:)

No you shouldn't. We PC folks got this mount for subbing to a game that was still in the early alpha stage of development.

I was one of those folks who beta tested, paid from day 1 and for over a year...missed the window to transfer over to PS4 as I was travelling, started over on PS4 from scratch...and missed loyalty rewards here too.

Shrug, not a big deal, but if I added up the amount of money I've spent on the game and the many, many bug reports I wrote up - don't reckon I'd be unhappy to see them retroactively reward stuff.

But I won't hold my breath. Either for ZOS to do such a thing, or for recipients of the rewards to want to water down rarity ;)

Upper and Lower Craglorn. City of Ash Vet. I want to say there was another vet dungeon added in the first year, but I don't remember which one.

We did have a three month content freeze though.

Please stop saying the crowns are "free". They aren't. You pay for them when you sub. Please stop mis-characterizing the transaction.

Look at people who have been subbing since launch. They have 2 consecutive quarters with no new DLC. That essentially means all they are getting for 6 months of sub is the crafting bags and 12000 crowns. Crowns are a core part of what you are purchasing with a sub.

The unusual thing is you get the full value of the sub back in crowns. Which isn't normal for an MMO. Not exactly "free," but it is a nice perk.

If you're going to spent at least $15 in the crown shop each month... subscribing is a better deal.
