XBOX One Controller Question

When I use the XB1 controller D Pad which does the following things and correct me if this is not right, The top button opens up a quick slot wheel that I can use for potions like health and other consumable items, the bottom button changes the camera view, the right button brings up my characters fists. What I can't seem to figure out is what the left button on the D Pad controller that brings up another quick slot wheel but I am not able to assign anything to it and wonder why from my characters inventory? Would like help with this.

It's for emotes/trophy actions.

Might be outdated

Holding up on the d-pad opens the wheel
Pressing up uses the quick slot item

Holding Left on d-pads Shealey and in-sheath weapon
Pressing left d-pad is weapon swap

Holding right on the d-pad opens the emote wheel
To assign emotes you must go into social, emotes and then highlight them an hit X to assign them prior to trying to use one

You know the collectables you get for completing the quest lines that perform an animation? Those.

The trophies actually are assigned to the up on d-pad like consumables. They have to be assigned from momento's

Just a tangent, since you are conversing about the D pad....

I play almost entirely in 3rd person, so had little use for the D pad down view change. In fact, it got in the way when I would sometimes accidentally change view in a fight. I also didn't like Y+B for synergies, and the Blade of Woe. I remapped that to the D pad down. Works much better for me.
