Now, if you would have said you've parsed the files and found those values

It's really not necessary. Enough information is available to the end user to do some basic algebra and come up with the unknown variables.

ESO applies percentage based modifiers as a decimal value, which is then multiplied against the base value. So a 10% XP buff is applied as "XP(1+(0.1))". Multiple modifiers are added together before being multiplied. So, in your case, we're talking about an equation that looks more like this "XP(1+(0.1+0.5+1.0+0.5))" Which is, incidentally what @smacx250 was solving for, when you accused him of pretending to be smart. We knew "XP(1+(0.1+X+1.0+0.5))", but needed to solve for X.

Frankly, this is just High School level math. It's really simple stuff.

How do I know what I'm looking at, and have the ability to sort this stuff out? I've got an A.A.S. in CIS. It's been a few years since I took System Analysis and Design, but I've still got a pretty solid grasp of how to parse what a system is doing when I've poked it for long enough. How do I know that's the equation? Because I've spent enough time poking it with a stick to work it out for myself.

For further discussion please be sure to stay civil with one another, and constructive to the topic of the thread.
Then this probably won't stay here for long:
"Among the 34 OECD countries, the United States performed below average in mathematics and is ranked 27th"

    I rest my case ...

    Man i love these forums.

People post about non existent bugs.

Get told whats actually happening by more knowledgeable and experienced players and then start defending their 'bug' because the 5x players who all said the same thing who all have more knowledge about the game can't possible be right...

    .............

Here you go Lee, have an agree from me.

You can't expect to double the xp you had before applying the festival bonus if you have additional xp bonuses like eso+ but it's a fact that the double xp doesn't work after a while for some reason and also that the duration of the drink is not tied to the character, so you can have 2 h duration then play 20 min, then play other char, then come back and suddenly you have less time on that character (unlike witches festival or scrolls ). I didn't make the effort to see if played time is common on all characters or simply real life elapsed time (logged in or not).

Nex life bonus is bugged anyway....

People are acting like we should know what the base xp is and that this is all common knowledge. Even with the boost on the base xp it doesn't add up.

No. I said I knew what it was because I see the value (with the +10% from ESO+) on a fairly regular basis (when I've burned through my enlightenment, which happens nearly every day).

Not knowing it off hand is entirely reasonable. Hell, I don't know exactly what it is, just that it's in the general vicinity of 420. Again, because I see it on a regular basis in the corner of my screen.

I'm not talking about just you. It just seems like it's common knowledge the way people are talking about here.

From one of the first posts:

"Don't need to. It's always been 5 levels before. There is no more xp to gain in there. It's a fixed amount. So 7 is obviously me gaining more xp."

Just say what the base xp is.

I apologize to you all. Sorry guys.

Base value for most mobs is 414 for non subs... -edited to add- This is for solo hit overworld mobs, not delve/dungeon/publics or groups or multiple non grouped people hitting.

And I believe base value is 455 for subs... For some reason I think their 10% is wrongly added to base and stays part of the base, instead of working like every other exp modifier in the game.

Base can always be tested by removing all training armor and weapons and not having any other exp buffs going.

If someone who is still a sub can test for me, please use only the 100% event bonus and tell me what your hitting... if 910, then 455 is the base for subs. If 869, then 414 is still the base as it should be. No addons required to test, the exp gain can be seen if Loot History is turned on in settings.

    Just verified: 455, 869.
