Does Crafting crown style violate TOS?

I seen a thread get locked about selling pet codes and such. Alot of it was geared towards a pet code being auctioned for in game gold. It made me think if thats against tos, it made me wonder...am i or have i violated tos.

Im on ps4, i got lucky and had someone give me the skyrim code for the grey horse for free. I seen people selling the code on trade sites and honestly if it came down to, i probably would've paid some gold for it. From what i understand, that violates tos.

But what really got me thinking is the crown motifs. I bought the frostcaster and grim harlequin motifs. Ive used purchased mimic stones to craft them. Ive crafted them for other players. I will not incriminate myself by saying whether or not said players "tipped' me afterwards, however, in a hypothetical situation, IF i had received gold for crafting a style purchased with money...would that be violating tos?

Crafting breton style armor for gold=OK
Crafting frostcaster style for gold=violation/gold buying?

Im willing to bet this has been discussed at some point since the release of crown only motifs but im just thinking about it now.

No, they paid you for your time and effort. You gave them the materials for free ;)

And anyway, it only matters if it's against TOS if you get caught. ZOS can't see that and nobody will report you. Even so, they wouldn't do anything.

Crafting is a normal in game service though. Why would you be punished just for being a crafter for procuring your wares? If you made it you can sell it.

Lol no. Your not selling the motif. Your selling crafted armor in a certain style

Declaring that it is against the tos to craft crown styles for other players would seriously hurt their crown motif sales. They have no interest in doing that.

Warning — anecdote ahead, not evidence: based on chatter, sales of the Frostcaller motif is pretty low. People seem to have been discouraged by the quality of the grim harlequin motif, by the limited use of crafted gear due to the huge volume of new drop sets, and the lack of a crown sale. I can't imagine Zeni doing anything to hurt their motif sales even more.

I'm pretty sure that ZOS treat this as a "don't ask don't tell" issue. Just chill comrade, it's not like they are laundering money from skooma entreprises with it.

They won't ever say that it's forbidden because they will have to ban everyone that ever did, they won't also say it's allowed it would suggest people to do it. It's a lose or lose situation.

For us, other players, it's like living in bad neighborhood, you know things are there, but you don't get involved or look straight at it.

You are selling in-game items. You aren't selling the codes. I've crafted both harlequin and frostcaster for guildies. While I don't charge for crafting, if they give me a tip I have no problems with it. Usually end up using it to buy more motifs that I haven't finished yet, like Abah's and whichever one you have to use black wax for.

Unless they suddenly start giving codes instead of the bound to your account instantly upon purchase motif books, there isn't any issues. That would instantly kill all crafting for any other use than personal.

I believe it's more the act, not the content. (NEVER QUOTE ME) But ZOS doesn't care what you craft, people have been doing special crafting orders for in-game gold for a long while now, and since you paid the crowns in order to craft the style yourself, you can do what you want with the pieces you make.

Now what would be a violation is if you somehow could sell the crown motif itself to someone else or something.
