Does the concept of time exist in ESO ?

    So if technically we are in a dragon break and everything's screwy, hypothetically anything and nothing is lore breaking?

    The events of ESO start in 2E 582 Morning Star.

    The events of Orsinium take place approximately in 2E 583 Rain's Hand, and the events of the Thieves guild and Dark Brotherhood take place after that.

    So it takes the Vestige approximately 16 months to complete the home alliance quests, Fighter's and Mages guild quests, Cyrodiil, the Imperial City, the Main quest, and Craglorn, in that order. All of which take place before Orsinium.

    Anyway, there are two possibilities:

    1.) The logical one is that we're supposed to consider other players as just people who're adventurers and travellers in teh world, no different than NPCs. And that the timeline follows our character in a way that's no different than a single-player Elder Scrolls game. Playing with PuGs/big guilds may break that illusion for you, though. Personally, I don't play with PuGs/big guilds, so it works for me.

    2.) ESO exists in a Dragonbreak and none but the khajiit have the sugar to see it, people are giving birth to their own grandparents, we're fighting temporally-detached fragments... et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.

    The first option is the most likely. Hasn't poor Alkosh been KO'd enough by dim-witted Imperials already?

    Kinda odd for the war to carry on since no one dies. Everyone and everything respawns. So in theory, everyone is trapped in a time loop. As soon as you do something, anything, the event resets.

    So. Time loop/worm hole. You heard it here first.

    I'm usually not good at this sort of thing, but I think I nailed this one.

    The war is actually one of the things that's persistent, and doesn't reset. No matter how long you go on for, even at the end of a campaign, keeps persist with their current owners and don't reset to the default.

    It is part of Molag Bal's torture. In the beginning of the game, you never left Coldharbour. That is why everything is in an infinite loop and the players are not stuck in this loop. Nothing is more frustrating than killing that one person and they just respawn.
