Should ESO give us a NEW RACE/CLASS? (perhaps Celestial?) or something..

    Mixed feelings.

New Race? No. The time honored basic races are all we need. However, as ESO slides into the latrine, or as part of the process to get it in there, Bethesda might want to introduce new races as a means to get people to buy Crowns. Were it not for that, I would have said that ZOS probably would not add races. Now, who knows.

New Class? As much as I think all classes should be removed and replaced with skill templates: Yes. If we are going to stick to classes, we need more than the current classes. Double the number would make for a good start. However, as I think this will make Wrobel's brain explode trying to balance them all, I figure we will be lucky to get one more over the entire life of the game.

Well said. I actually enjoyes reading that. Thank you.

Well, Bethesda/Zos, ... They will NEED to keep expanding. And yes, of course, they want to sell those CROWNS. Thus is another reason to keep expanding.

We polymorphs. And that is okay. But, idk,
I just think that we need something different...... "NEW" .... and Exciting.

The "HOUSES" will certainly be that "New excitement" for a while. And especially with being able to craft furniture etc.

The game is based on diversity. Thus, this is another reason I believe that we should have mkre selection if characters, or yes, better yet, a kind of BUILD YOUR OWN type.... (with of course, applied limitations).

Been a while? We have never had a new class since launch.

    And no.

And lol Celestial? Do you even read the story/lore? Why not implement Deadric Princes as playable classes too?

    Why not?

According to data mining there is a class rumored to be introduced called the warden.similar to the druid in wow with some tweaks.

Ironic. Someone blasted me recently, stating that Eso is not "wow" .... lol, and that eso is not following along the lines of wow. Yet, I see so much similarity. Accept wow... is more expansive, and updates in realtime! with little downtime. lol.

ESO is like a new born compared to wow.Wait a few years and trust me ESO will evolve while wow slowly fades.

Pffft that would be true if that is what they were actually doing. ESO has been out three years. Even small budget game like rift 3 years in had added far more content for free then this. Eq2 had 3 full expansions, 3 dlcs, two new trees in their Aa, 3 level cap increase. All the while maintaing three times the classes ,housing at launch, a crafting system that even today is probably better then most anything put together today.

ESO has not done a very good job so far of evolving .they are still trying to figure out what they want to be when they grow up. If they had picked a direction and walked it and stayed true to the genre then maybe.

Lmao oh yes, the celestial race. There must be a tribe of them residing in Bravil or Whiterun that we all forgot about!

Lets throw in all the "playable race" ideas we've seen crop up on these forums:
    1. Celestial
    2. Daedra (Of all kinds)
    3. Wamasu
    4. Skeever
    5. Dragons
    6. Giants/Mammoths
    7. Dwemer
    8. Snow Elves
    9. Molag Bal

Any other great ideas that people have posted about that I've forgotten and that ZOS MUST add to the game asap or Im unsubbing?

Well, to extend upon what I said about Races, I can certainly see "Play as a Daedra" being offered in the Crown Store, with a selection of different types of human-looking Daedra. By that, I mean standard size characters, two arms, two legs, easily created to wear existing equipment. Of all the "races", this would be the easiest to justify in Lore, and would also be the easiest to introduce without breaking the 3rd Era.

What is in your mind exactly when you speak of a "celestial class"?

Well, you see celestial armour, and ecev the term being used mkre and more. My feeling, is that ESO will eventually evolve into ever expanding directions. Perhaps.... New storylines.... that brings new dimensions to the game.... in the future. - Eso wants to keep the gamers enthralled. After-all, its big profit for them.

Okay but what do you mean by Celestial Class?

Which kind of skills do you want? What does it bring to the table? How would it be different from other classes?

For example, the Warden brings Frost Class Skills and Nature Magic to the table. The other classes do not have that. What would your "Celestial Class" have?

Okay, Well, to type it all out at the moment, whew.... will be too long.

Okay, I will summarize a bit. Well, I will try too.

    Storyline and plot.

    1st : (part1)
Underground "ANCIENTS" (BTW- would be a great class!)
Basically, increasing the storyline. Tamriel was destined for ultimate doom. A believed certainty of destruction. Some cosmic event. The ancestors fled Tamriel. Some went into DEEP UNDERGROUND. While, others left Tamriel altogether! The .... made a special magic or something. They then TELEPORTED... to (one of the moons or one of the 2 planets (moons) whichever, which you see in the sky sometimes while playing the game).
This TRAVEL was pretty much a ONE-WAY trip... for a millenial or so.

After the perceived event was to take place. The races gathered and fled as such. A teleportation was completed to those heavenly bodies in the sky.

Now..... bringing us forward to the "PRESENT TIME IN TAMRIEL" .....

Tamriel was never destroyed. The whole concept of destruction was a miscalculation.

Restlessness is growing among the ANCIENTS... whom are deep underground, and the ones who took the One-Way Teleported Trip outta here.. to the celestial bodies in the sky.

Unrest is breaking out amongst the factions. Thus, it is NOW TIME TO RETURN to Tamriel.

The ANCIENTS (now called "perhaps" Celestials) are finally abke to return to Tamriel. They will now be able to travel back and forth. Anyhow, they RETURN , ONLY TO DISCOVER that TAMRIEL WAS NEVER DESTROYED! .... thus... the storyline and quests continue from there...

    pt2. The UNDERGROUND ANCIENTS.....
There is something terrible happening in the deep bowels of Tamriel. It is time to Re-surface!

However, since the Ancients underground have not seen daylight in... well.... a millenium....
They NEED to embark on a QUEST for a Special and powerful magical amulet. This amulet would prevent them from burning up..... from the sun, light, when they re-surface. Or when the Hero of that civilization re-surfaces.

Eventually, .... the re-surfacing takes place. But, lo and behold! TAMRIEL WAS NOT DESTROYED!
thus..... the STORY CONTINUES FROM THERE!

in addition: Celestial Soul Gems "Can Revive ENTIRE PARTY ... perhaps 40% health or something)
    and there is Much more........

But, that is .... well, the best I can say/type in a nutshell.

However, I have far greater detail than that which is written for potential future expansions.

The Ancients above (Evolved) thus becoming celestial.

The Ancients below (Evolved)... and became.... etc. etc.

Then the old saying "SO AS ABOVE, SO AS BELOW"

    :)

P.s Cellphone keypad. Please forgive typos. ty.

Celestial race maybe, class being Warden or Necromancer.

OP said "Celestial class", which is why I am confused here.

If they are thinking of some kind of "holy magic" class, how would it be different from the Templar?

And OP surely isn't thinking of a Celestial race, that would be absurd. It would be almost like asking to play as gods (note that I said "almost", I'm well aware the Celestials are mortals)

Well, First playthrough of eso, . We beat the "God(s)" ... thus.. when we play eso... We are made to feel lime a God... as if we were so ultimate. The "Hero". Ironically, Dark Brotherhood gets released, then I go from being a "Hero" to a "Cold-blooded immoral murderer".
That did not feel so good. I felt as if I took Malog Bol's position as the great evil threat looming over Tamriel. lol.

I'm not big on shiny weapons to be honest, but I can see the appeal.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

I don't recall skeever ever getting on the list... but, I might have missed it. Or repressed it.

I also think the Wamasu were in reference to mounts, not playable races. Pretty sure on that one. Same with Mammoth.

Skeever mounts would be interesting, but how do you tie the two of them to your boots and get them to go in the same direction?

    @Daganerabus yeah basically

For instance, rather than let's say a NECROMANCER CLASS, they add Necromancy as a world skill line.
Any DK, NB, Temp, Sorc could use it if they wished.

There could be more Mage's Guild skill lines added such as Illusion or Conjuring

Rather than the datamined and old/scrapped Warden class, it's nature magic/skills could be added as additional skill lines as well.

    Etc...

There's a lot more build diversity that way, instead of shoehorning things into classes, I think.

    Why not?

The bigger question would be why.

If some are bored with the current offerings of essentially 8 classes when considering stam and magika variants are very different, they would get bored with a new class fast so not much point.

As for a new race, it would add little to the game.

And yes, Zos needs to keep expanding the game however, adding a class isn't really expanding the game. Adding playable content and more importantly, content for us to enjoy end game, is what keeps the game going and interesting.

As for additional races, I'm not really sure what could be added that would actually be any benefit, and still even after the last racial passive tweaks there is a lot of disparity with a couple [according to some] "useless" races still.

    No.

The worst thing that could be done is remove classes as that would leave us with only one meta dps build and make the game extremely boring.

Omg, ESO would become the worst MMO ever if they did that.
