Do you even care about Boosting/Cheats ESO?

I'm just wondering are my guildmates wasting their time trying to do things legit, is their even a consequence?

PS4 Skull of Corruption the entire leader board Ebonheart is boosted up. You were sent video, I know complaints were put it in. You created it when you let the same people play multiple factions in the same campaign- Emperor is a farce. Just a small group changing factions, taking turns defending and killing each other, over and over.

The question do you care? I have been telling people not to do it, saying you would get "banned". But now I'm wondering has anyone ever been banned?

Either way? Sort of just looking for a response if it matters or not?

ZOS has never banned anyone for boosting Emp ever . They've called it a clever use of game mechanics in the past . They have no plans now or future to punish anyone giving away kills for Emperorship .

In short , you're wasting your time sending videos and giving false information out to guild members .

Ask ZOS , they make the weird rules here . They release broken abilities and sets and then ban people for using them , not me .

Stop worrying about leaderboards, or the size of your e-peen.

Just kill people and have fun, have a beer and hang out with friends in TS.

just play more. eventually you'll know people who play well when solo and those who don't. you'll know which groups are good and which aren't. leaderboards (and also a-ranks to some extend) are mostly a reflection of the time invested. I'm pretty sure you could get >50k/h on average by mutagen spamming and collecting def ticks on a popular campaign. sure, good players and groups can top that but I guess 100k/h is a good streak for pretty much everyone / every group out there. if said theoretical rapid-regen-spammer is unemployed or skipping school a lot, he'd easily outperform anyone investing a sane amount.

once you play enough to know friends and enemies alike, you'll see how little you appreciate or fear those at the top of the list for either faction. then you'll also stop being annoyed if someone exploits their way to the top - because it doesn't really matter.

if you want to experience being emp for once, you can try to out-nolife everyone else after a campaign restart. I've been playing eso since beta and only been emp a couple of times. once i was sick at home, another time the campaign reset on a friday when i had absolutely nothing to do on the weekend. another time, no ad was playing seriously on my campaign (after patch and lots of people were pve'ing for their new sets). not once I feel like getting emp had anything to do with playing better. not once it felt like a reasonnable amount of time playing computer games ;)

tl;dr: eventually you'll stop caring. still a bad practice by ZOS but there are much bigger issues, imho.

    Yes, to a degree.

When I was going for my Emperor run on Thornblade I was busting my ass day in, day out to get AP to try to get #1. The server was almost dead, so finding people to fight was a serious problem. But I'd get 1,5m AP and get almost to the top near the end of the campaign, and somebody would join and start making 300K+ an hour.

It took me a month of constant play to get 1,5m AP, and some random guy joins a near dead server and is suddenly making 300K+ an hour? And hours in has well over 1m? Yeah, it's freakin' maddening. It took me 6 months to get emp, and doing it the /right/ way. Killing, holding resources, taking keeps, repairing walls. People who boosted AP drove me crazy.

But it's not cheating. Is it underhanded? Well, yeah. Does it take away from players who are legitimately trying the right way? Yes. But it's not exactly cheating.

However, people openly cheating and using exploits are not kosher in my book. At all. In any way. I've left guilds because people in Cyro were encouraging exploiting knowing Zenimax won't do anything about it. I'm not fine with that at all.

I have asked myself the same question. Then again, I've wondered why some things are called cheating and exploiting and some are not. The barometer that I have seen has all surrounded who has a Twitch channel and who does not. Then it goes according to the follows you have. Just saying.

Also, the gaming culture is the most corrupt I have ever seen. It's worse than steroids in major league baseball. Mainly, here it's accepted. If you're "doped up on steroids" IE using exploits and cheats, then you're the better player. Really?!!! Sure, and Lance Armstrong is the better biker, too. lol

The fact is there is no honor among thieves. Unfortunately, in gaming everyone is hiding behind a computer screen so any honor or self-control goes out the window. The do things in game and online that in real life, someone would have punched their lights out by now or they would have been arrested. The gaming culture doesn't stand up for what's right unless they are threatened with some kind of lawsuit or something. The little agreement we all signed when we bought the game is trash. It meant absolutely nothing.

But then again, when has integrity ever meant anything to the gaming culture?

Boosting EMP? No its no different than the bad players who are grand overlords. Friends die on a resource their buddy gets the tick. Many guilds used to flip EMP even the healers became EMP. EMP s from repairing walls and doors and posters. Guilds that donated wall repair kits. No buggy the retake is fun. I especially like the save kill quest, resource, keep and scout quest go get blessing of war turn in all the quests minutes after the new campaign starts. Not obvious at all.
