Are reinforced and nirnhoned traits broken?

Did some testing and damage done didn't change with either of these traits...Just curious if any others have replicated this. If increased resists don't lower damage taken then why have them?

    figured it out... my bad fella was hitting me had a ton of penetration....

    Some details on how you were testing it and logs/screenshots would help here. Since they are a simple effect of increasing your resistances it would be strange for them to be broken but I suppose anything is possible.

    They are very slight bonuses, a tiny percent of a percent. As to your question, just about every build shouldn't have them.
    Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

    Well both are a calculable amount... i made 3 suits heavy armour one nirn, one impen, and another reinforced. All non crit hits on all 3 suits were exactly the same. Impen seemed to be the only trait which actually gave any damage decrease. With the plain jane setup i had ...white heavy impen armour I got about a 13% decrease in damage on critical hits only. I had about 1800 impen for the test. So I guess my assumption is that with an increase in physical or spell resists should give a calculable decrease in damage. When what I found was an increase in resists from either reinforced or nirhoned did not change the base damage at all...So i guess my question still is has anyone else done such testing and what have they found?

    What did you test this on? You know pve mobs can't crit right?

    If you were testing against a player hitting you, with white armor he could have easily been fully penetrating your armor.

    Screenshots and more information please. Reinforced and nirnhoned do work according to every tank I've talked to.

    Those traits are only worth on shields (cause of the CP passive). In the body pieces, are a complete waste.

    How did you test your damage taken? If a player was hitting you and they are running any forn of penetration then you are not going to ser any difference. ..
