There don't seem to be many discussions on werewolfs outside of PvP, so I couldn't just google the answers I am looking for. My goals are that I can use the character for questing and open world content (delves, public dungeons, dolmens, collect shards, etc) MOSTLY IN WEREWOLF FORM. That means I want to get into WW form quickly (fast ultimate generation or reduced cost) and stay there as long as there is stuff to kill. I would also want to switch gear and run 4-man dungeons as DPS. There are so many new sets, many of which look like they would offer some interesting mixes for a werewolf.
Saviors Hide looks like a solid WW set with 33 percent reduction to ultimate cost to transform. But perhaps Ultimate generating sets like Bloodspawn and Tavya would also accomplish the same thing. Hide of the werewolf seems to be also going in that direction, with improved ultimate costs.
WW do nice single target damage, but most of the stuff I will be doing requires killing 3-8 mobs quickly. I know that AOE is not WW strength, so perhaps pumping up infectious claws damage with CP (for the disease dot)? What about sets that do AOE damage? Any suggestions?
Healing/Tankiness: The heal is magicka based, so it tends to be weak and you have very little magicka so you can't spam it. Pelinal's set offers that interesting feature of bringing your spell power to match your weapon damage. But that is a big cost (5-pieces) to buff only the heal. That makes for an awesome heal, but is it needed outside of PvP?. If I go with Claws of Life and maybe some CP into healing, plus a weak WW heal will that be sufficient if I run 1-1-5 medium for a public dungeon? And would I go for rage (+weapon dmg) or fortitude (heal over time) for the morph?
Blackrose offers an interesting possibility. Heavy tanking with a strong constitution passive. I am not sure that is quite as strong in PvE though, and I would lose my medium benefits. Dreugh king slayer looks interesting...Major Brutality at all times and Major Expedition like all the time (but no stam, just 688 critical and 260 wd).
WW do a lot of light/heavy attacks. Is it worth pumping some CP specifically into that?
I am very unclear on how your weapon enchants proc in WW mode. If I have a weapon dmg proc will it buff on a light attack hit? Will the sharpened trait effect werewolf attacks?
Should I stack stamina in attributes and enchants, or add in health and magicka?
There are so many open questions it is difficult to know were to begin. If you have experience with this I would love to hear your thoughts.
Thanks!
