PvE werewolf

There don't seem to be many discussions on werewolfs outside of PvP, so I couldn't just google the answers I am looking for. My goals are that I can use the character for questing and open world content (delves, public dungeons, dolmens, collect shards, etc) MOSTLY IN WEREWOLF FORM. That means I want to get into WW form quickly (fast ultimate generation or reduced cost) and stay there as long as there is stuff to kill. I would also want to switch gear and run 4-man dungeons as DPS. There are so many new sets, many of which look like they would offer some interesting mixes for a werewolf.

Saviors Hide looks like a solid WW set with 33 percent reduction to ultimate cost to transform. But perhaps Ultimate generating sets like Bloodspawn and Tavya would also accomplish the same thing. Hide of the werewolf seems to be also going in that direction, with improved ultimate costs.

WW do nice single target damage, but most of the stuff I will be doing requires killing 3-8 mobs quickly. I know that AOE is not WW strength, so perhaps pumping up infectious claws damage with CP (for the disease dot)? What about sets that do AOE damage? Any suggestions?

Healing/Tankiness: The heal is magicka based, so it tends to be weak and you have very little magicka so you can't spam it. Pelinal's set offers that interesting feature of bringing your spell power to match your weapon damage. But that is a big cost (5-pieces) to buff only the heal. That makes for an awesome heal, but is it needed outside of PvP?. If I go with Claws of Life and maybe some CP into healing, plus a weak WW heal will that be sufficient if I run 1-1-5 medium for a public dungeon? And would I go for rage (+weapon dmg) or fortitude (heal over time) for the morph?

Blackrose offers an interesting possibility. Heavy tanking with a strong constitution passive. I am not sure that is quite as strong in PvE though, and I would lose my medium benefits. Dreugh king slayer looks interesting...Major Brutality at all times and Major Expedition like all the time (but no stam, just 688 critical and 260 wd).

WW do a lot of light/heavy attacks. Is it worth pumping some CP specifically into that?

I am very unclear on how your weapon enchants proc in WW mode. If I have a weapon dmg proc will it buff on a light attack hit? Will the sharpened trait effect werewolf attacks?

Should I stack stamina in attributes and enchants, or add in health and magicka?

There are so many open questions it is difficult to know were to begin. If you have experience with this I would love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks!

First, you should not spec for ultimate regeneration or reduced cost as the main point of your gear, because while you are in werewolf form these bonuses will do nothing.

It's not usually worth putting more than 1-5 points into light and heavy attack damage, even for builds whose focus is entirely there. The reason is, the light attacks do have an elemental type (physical in this case) which would be boosted by another star (Mighty) that also boosts the rest of your skills. It's more efficient to stat into what raises everything, right?

For damage and resources you should enchant and stat for stamina, yes.

I'm not sure about the weapon glyph question.

You're correct in identifying the PvE weakness of Werewolf as AoE. Finding sets which allow you to proc some AoE damage from your transformed attacks would be one way to shore that weakness up.

I've kinda been wondering about a Werewolf build as well...

Specifically, if the Kvatch Gladiator would produce decent numbers with it adding ~1500 wep dmg to your light and heavy attacks if your target is in execute health range.

hundings rage is great. But there are other sets that are great as werewolf. Not the salvation set pretty much useful in pvp. Sprigions will be good.
    Drauger set is great.
strength of the automaton set is great.

    monster set
Krag'h set for extra penetration and slight aoe damage.
well you can try other monster set pieces but this seems great cause if any damage happens the effects start.

in dungeon, the charge attack is not useful and cannot proc tormentor set. fear is bad. knockdown attack is ineffective on boss. so only the poison and bleed DoT are relevant. i want WW to be good in pve 4-man dungeon, but i have yet to find a way to make it work.

If you want top dps in pve werewolf is not the answer. Though werewolves are not horrible in terms of dps and are capable of pulling off some solid numbers while being quite survivable.

For pve dps werewolf I recommend:
-Twice born star 5 (the shadow, the thief)
    -Drauger 5
-DW sharpened (max damage while in WW) weapon damage spell damage enchants
-2 kra'gh (Vel can be better for high mob encouters)
    -All Divines, stam on everything
    -Trifood or bi (stam/health)
    -Use weapon power/savagery/stam pots
    Redguard to help with sustain

Drop points in mighty, Crit damage, and sprinkle some in armor pen. Drop plenty of points into stam cost reduction.

Redguard passive + pots should be enough to sustain your stamina through a boss fight if the other dps is pulling its weight.

Savior's Hide is easy to get and works quite well. Another option is Pelinal's set - especially if you're a magicka based character. Pelinal's enchanted with Max Stam can really make a difference. If you're stam based, it can make your heal from Howl unbelievable.

Hulking Draugr looks amazing, but I don't have all the pieces yet so i can't test :'(
