I'm not a super duper player. I don't know all the little nuances of how the game works. I only have like 270 CP on the PC because I'm a dingleberry that spends more time looking for the best deals on Kutas instead of actually doing stuff.
But I do think I'm qualified to know what's enjoyable for me because...Well because I'm me.
I just switched to ps4, and I have to hand it to you ZOS, I dig the console version. It doesn't feel much different at all. Still see people doing the running man on top of mounts, still see DKs dueling each other next to wayshrines and spamming WB, still see people getting way too upset at getting ganked, still accidentally stealing things from guild vendors and accidentally shooting civies because crime is only one click away.
It's like everything I like about the PC, was given to playstation-land with smiles and condescending head pats.
The only real difference that I've noticed, is that instead of thirty year olds screeching at each other and spamming duel challenges while everyone's character is still black shadow people at the wayshrine, it's 13 year olds.
Thank you for consistency and making me feel young again.

I used add-ons, and honestly I hated them. The only ones I even halfway liked was MM, awesome guildstore, and skyshards.

Props to the people that are good with code and figuring out how to make them run smoothly, but they became more of an annoyance to me than anything.

-downgraded grafics (at least in compare to my PC hardware)
-cumbersome and impractical controls at least for a MMO
-no addons (I run over 30 of them, even in raids and don't have a single issue while playing on Ultra HD)

I have no issues to warp my screen to my Samsung 55'' HDR TV, thanks to HDMI v2.0a.

All you need now is a couple of addons to manage LUA memory and get rid of the error messages off the screen. It was literally a 10 minute fix...now I don't see "Error" at all.

I guess it depends on how you had your PC set up in the first place. Our PC(s) have been in the living room for years, as opposed to relegated to an office type setting. They both have a direct HDMI line to the Big Screen (both hook into inputs on my receiver, which handles which video stream goes to the TV), and with BT mice and keyboards you can sit on a couch or chair or anywhere you want. Also, PC can use console controllers so no loss there if you wish.
There really isn't much difference between consoles and PC's these days, other than the fact that PC's are modular and can be taken apart and put back together with newer hardware every couple of years.0 -

I play both and quite frankly find it much more social and have more friends on PS4 due to the fact that you can easily have voice chats with your guild mates without the complications of Teamspeak or Discord.
Now on the other hand my character movement is much faster and smoother on PC as they over did the Major Expedition nerf on console.0 -

For me it's bout comfort. My recliner loves me, and I love it, and I'm not going to deny it the comradery (I don't think I spelled that right) it longs for and deserves.0 -

✭I made the switch the other way recently. But I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed playing ESO on PS4 for the best part of a year. It felt, and played, pretty well. There's no room for a large TV in my tiny-but-characterful home, so recliners and vast screens were never an option for me.1 -

I much prefer playing on console, I don't like playing with keyboard and mouse. It doesn't give you an advantage if other people on the platform aren't using it either - and even then, with the aim assist in eso the fine control of a mouse is negated, so i don't feel like i'm losing anything for that.
The only thing i miss is the graphics. I used to run on ultra on the PC, whereas now it's more like high on the PS4. Thinking about getting a PS4Pro and running it on my HDTV - i'd rather have better graphics than 4k graphics. Apparently reflections are better, and hopefully the draw distance gets better too...

After a couple of beers I can't tell the difference in graphics between the platforms.
Drinking beer always enhances ESO performance.1 -
