load screen and so forth

anyone else tonight getting constant load screen, whether youre trying to load into the game or porting from one region to another that kick you from the game that state, unable to connect to the game. make sure you have a valid internet connection or unable to connect to the game due to time out and there was another one but I cant remember it off of the top of my head. all of my toons are stuck in reapers march and I cant get passed the initial loading screen on any of the toons. ive disabled all addons, deleted the shadercache, the ZO_INGAME_LUA file and still nothing.

is there a specific reason why zos cant get a simple thing like this fixed, and please don't defend this company. its been what 2 almost 3 years and it gets worse each patch

I feel your pain OP.

Needed to get to Reapers for my next quest and suffered the same fate as you. Tried twice and just closed the game.

MAYBE Mondays maintenance will fix this LOL

Yep... I haven't been able to reach the character select screen since the last maintenance/update. Let it sit there for nearly an hour and pffftt nothing... just some art and a spinning logo. Everything else installed on my HDD works perfectly fine.

Yep, I cant even get a toon to successfully load into the game. Just spins and spins and spins till it times out. FFS these piece of *** servers have been a piece of *** for this whole week..

Assuming you're on PC, copy the contents of the SavedVariables folder to another location and then delete the old folder. Load up the game afterwards, sign in, and load up a character. Should fix it.

I'm aware of this workaround on PC...but should we really need to to go that route as often as we have of late?

And what are our friends on console supposed to do when the ZOS virus strikes?

BTW, not attacking you in the least...just frustrated with ZOS

The issue doesn't pop often enough to be a high priority. As for those on console, no idea but it seems the more issues that happen on console, the more I enjoy being a PC player.

Same problem, happens most holidays and whenever Reapers March, specifically Rawkla, is crowded. I've been unable to get in game for hours at a time, repeatedly kicked from long loads to login. Once in game, I've also been unable to get OUT of Rawlka too. After repeated tries, finally got to an obscure wayshrine I knew would be low pop.

This fix did not work for me.

Still have bad pings, rubber-banding, load screens & is basically unplayable.

Also note! Deleting your saved variables will reset all your add-on setups to default... MM, harvestmap, wykkyd toolbar, LUIE... all back to defaults

That's why you copy those files to another location first. Once you've logged back in, exit the game and copy them back. It will only really fix issue of the game hanging on log in or upon character selection. It doesn't fix issue related to high ping.

Cheers! I did back the LUAs up & have copied them back.. . sorry if I come across as ungrateful for the help... much appreciated! I am just very frustrated as I had planned a nice day of ESO festival shenanagins today & it is not going to plan

Before anyone says "go outside & do something else" ... it's 34°C here (~93° Fahrenheit) & a tropical storm is about to roll in

Oh well... I guess I should go clean my house. Boo.
