Any tips to beat the first boss in Vet Hel Ra with full vitality?

I'm not sure if we should stack and run springs on the gusts, or we should spread out....We've beaten it 100x and NEVER with full vitality. We can finish the rest of the trial without deaths. Let me know your strategies!

    The two options I've seen are to spread out just enough that the whirlwinds don't overlap and rely on your healers, and to stand on the cheese rock... which ironically we haven't really gotten cheese rock to work yet.

    From a healer pov, I prefer if people loosely stack and only make small movements when avoiding damage. That way I can mostly heal with healing springs + combat prayer.

    Cheeeeeeeeeeeese rock! Safe strategy. Everyone bit tank stack on the rock, the tank just in melee range and win. Whirlwinds can't reach you there, so they are just swirling around with no target to annoy.

    We got a better healer and we are finishing for 21/24 vitality. We're not using a cheese rock.

    Tell you stam boys to GTF out of the way when he hits 30% health, as he starts spinning. Haha

    Seriously though, this is a tough fight to do without a group death. You need healers on point and DPS not standing in stupid. There are really only three things that kill you. His AOE, Sword Throws and Whirlwinds. The first two are 100% avoidable. The last one takes awareness from your DPS and solid heals. You could certainly just have everyone go range and slot a shield.

    There are just so many ways to cheese through this trial tbh. THE cheese rock, THE lightning staff cheese. And frankly the hard mode for this trial is almost as easy as the Sanctum one. :lol:

    But we've done the first boss no death without the cheese rock. Its not that hard if everyone pays attention and puts a shield on their bar (!!!!!!!). Ironically, someone has to stand in the shield-throw at some point in the fight and forget to block or shield... Stupid deaths really.

    We usually use the Death count addon after vHRC to determine who had a shield and who didn't. Funny how it reflects that 100%.
