How do we reach Eastmarsh in order to speak to Breda, for the festival? Nothing is clickable, for me, in Eastmarsh, from the Fast Travel Shrines, and what seems to be the path "by foot" (when you give the focus to the quest), it sends me to Stonefall where the road is locked at Fort Virak.

You reach eastmarch I think from a boat in shadowfen. If you havent came that far yet, you could go in a captial area like deshaan and ask someone to port you to that wayshrine. Group and travel to player. You can also do this in guilds by right clicking on a player and travel to player.

This is not a very good event for new players. its not impossibe but its not easy, especially for those not in a guild and those who prefere to play quietlly alone, It is IMO badlly designed and not really thought out. For 'older' players who will have every zone and all or most wayshrines unlocked this event will be a breeeze, but most will not even take part the rewards are very insignificant and just more usueless s**t to store with the already problamatic limited personall storage with all the new stuff around and no were to put it.

Easiest way to get to places/zones you have not yet visisted is to use another player to get there.

This can be done a multiple of ways,
Group with someone who is in the zone you want to got to, or group with someone and then they travel there, then once they are there open your 'party' page, (press 'P') right click their name and a option to 'teleport to player' will pop up'

If your in a guild open the 'roster' look for any player in the area you want to go, right click name, 'teleoprt to player' (you dont need to group for this)

Ask in zone chat for anyone who can port you to the zone you want to go, there are many helpfull players out there, I do this quite often for random people who need to travel, it only takes 2 minutes.

there are also 'Boatswains' in some major zone towns who can give you boat rides to other zones. They are located down at the ship docks. usually marked on the map with a Anchor icon.

Sugar-Claws can take you between Vulkhel Guard (Auridon) and Eagle's Strand (Khenarthi's Roost).
Scout Linimondil can take you between Skywatch (Auridon) and Haven (Grahtwood).

Gilzir can take you between Daggerfall (Glenumbra), Port Hunding (Stros M'Kai), and Stonetooth Fortress (Betnikh).
Zihlijdel can take you from Wayrest (Stormhaven) to Sentinel (Alik'r), while Captain Carlier will take you back.

The Boatmaster can take you between Mournhold and Shad Astula in Deshaan once you obtain the necessary invitation.
Liezl can take you between Bleakrock Village (Bleakrock Isle) and either Davon's Watch (Stonefalls) or Dhalmora (Bal Foyen).
Muz-Muz can take you between Alten Corimont (Shadowfen) and Windhelm (Eastmarch).

You DO NOT have to do the Fort Virak quest to walk to The Rift! So many mindless players... explore a bit.

Go under the bridge at Fort Virak. Theres a passage to the right of the bridge. The passage ends at the other side of the bridge right before you enter the Rift.

from the first city in auridon - vulk guard?

go to boatswain at the docks shown by the anchor on your map
    choose outside aldmeri dom
    choose ebonheart stonefalls
when you arrive in stone falls, dont move, turn to the boat guy and go to the rift.
when you get to the rift, dont move, turn to the boat guy and go to eastmarch
when you walk to fredas, go another 100' and unlock that wayshrine right next to her pavillion.

its simple, no bridges under fort virak...

likely there are the same answers in every starter city or capital.

If you're a very new low level players from either the Daggerfall (DC) or Aldmeri (AD) alliance, Eastmarch may not be unlocked yet for you. Eastmarch is in the Ebonheart Pact (EP) area of the map. I'm EP, and unless the game has been updated somehow, I remember I was not able to venture into the DC or AD side of the map until I reached certain levels (I think level 20 or 30) where certain quest lines took me to those areas, which would then be unlocked. This could be the case, if you're still only from level 3-20. You may have to do the main quest lines until you get to where it directs you to go to the other Alliances' areas or grind/level up enough to reach the level that will then allow access to the other alliances' areas.

Otherwise, the other easy and fast way to get to any area that is still grayed out (but unlockable) for you, is to group up with someone who has access to that area. Then, that other player wayshrines to that area (such as Eastmarch) and you can "travel to player" (from your option/social/group menu, then select the player's name and select the "travel to player" option.) You can be anyway and access these menu/options. Once you travel to player (from anywhere), you will travel to a wayshrine nearest to that other person/player in your group, given that area is unlockable for you.

If you find the way to Fort Virak, then as you face it directly in front of you follow it round to the right and you can exit the zone behind the fort.

I haven't unlocked most other alliance zones on any of my characters because I have never wanted to do Cadwells, and it's hugely enjoyable leading them through various zones they've never been to before in order to reach the various quest hubs for this event. You don't need any special knowledge to do so, just follow the obvious routes on the world maps. There's also the huge benefit of One Tamriel meaning that they can harvest nodes and have combat along the way and it's all relevant to their level.

The road isn't blocked by the fort, when approaching the fort, veer to the right, where you can go down and around the fort, there's a path you can take to bypass the whole thing without doing the quest.

Eastmarch is the forth zone in the Ebonheart alliance.

Boat swains will take you to the next zone in an alliance, or to the parallel zone in the other two alliances. So if you have access to the fourth zone in DC or AD you can book direct passage. Otherwise, get to EP and step by step have the boat swain take you through the zones till you reach it.

You can also ask for help. A person groups with you, who has the wayshrine unlocked. They travel first, then using the group menu, travel to them for free.

Finally you can walk there from Stonefalls. At the far west end is a fort. If you go around the northside wall in a S path under the bridge you can reach the Rift. The path from the Rift to Eastmarch is at the top NE corner. Then just walk north towards Windhelm.

So many unhelpful players that rather than actually point the person in the correct direction, would rather have a dig and add nothing. Yeah, I see the irony in my own post. If you're against hand holding, then why even bother in the first place?

Speaking of which and I don't know how long it's been since I've done this or if I ever have, but one of the boats in Daggerfall's harbor says it'll take you to Stros M'kai when you hover your cursor over it. I happened to talk to that NPC last night and he has another option, which is to take you to Betnihk.

The easiest thing that ZOS could have done would be to make the Kynesgrove wayshrine discovered by everyone but that would make too much sense.

But then there are all the other wayshrines that are closest to the subsequent quest locations...

I'd prefer the starting quest for such events to be located in each of the starting cities, or just outside them, but even then there would be the issue of some players having to explore uncharted territories to further the event quests - although for an old school adventurer like me that's half the fun of course!

True, but they could have also made the wayshrines closest to the quest locations automatically discovered as well. It seems to me at one time when ZOS was talking about One Tamriel in a ESO Live episode, they mentioned something about making one wayshrine in each zone discovered on the map so you could get to it easily. That never happened, but it would have made it much easier for the beginners or solo explorers.
