So... I sort of took a small break from ESO to go try some other games for a bit, i come back for this timed event only to find such an insanely huge update for it?

It's not even really downloading it's stuck at 66kb saying (+99hours left)

The heck could be in this patch that makes it so huge? (Does it finally fix the servers?)

Maybe during your 'small' break you missed out on a lot of new content which was added which made the download that size. For people who had the game up to date it wasn't a very big download at all.

Last patch was only 250mb for me but probably a good reason to keep the game up to date even if you are not planning on playing for a while.

How long was your break? I think I remember an issue with the one Tamriel update that caused a larger download than needed. Not sure though.

it was about 400 mb for me...

i'm guessing you left before One Tamriel or possibly even the dark brotherhood patch. Those were a bit more extensive.

December 6 lol... cause Dead Rising 4 came out.

But i found out what the problem was anyway... turns out on PS4 when it's preparing to install an update the siza it tells you is actually referring to the combined total of everything related to the game, so even the size of the content already installed is shown for some reason... which was odd cause for some reason it took an hour to even finish the preparing stage o.O

then another 10mins for the actual update of 350mb
