VMA Gear

So I've been running vma and much like everyone else I'm not getting what I'm hoping for. So I was wondering which traits on what vma weapons still out perform using non-vma desired trait weapons (hope that made sense)? I typically play a templar healer, magicka sorc and stamina sorc. So those are the classes I'm looking to obtain weapons for.

Also wondering for my stam sorc which gear sets would be best for vma. I have access to 9 trait sets, viper, red mountain, agility jewelry, kraghs monster set. So any combination there, my last run I used 5 nmg/viper/kraghs. I currently don't have vo or veldireth so please don't include those.

5nmg and agility and Krags is fine. Any dual sharp daggers will suffice. Nothing lives long enough to worry about vma dw weapons.

I really like 5x VO + 5x NMG + 2x Velidreth for stamsorc (that's what I use on mine). Andy S did his 601k run with 5x Spriggan instead of NMG, but Streak One did his 600k with NMG... Both are obviously completely viable.

VO makes VMA much easier, even for an experienced player. The stam sustain is insane and expedition just makes life easier especially as a DW/bow sorc with no gap closer options.

As for the usefulness of gear, it goes mostly like this.

Inferno Staff: SHARP or nothing. Hate to say it, but its true. Even as a backbar weapon, precise or nirn doesnt cut it. You are better off with sharp crafted non set staff, than a non-sharp VMA staff.

Resto Staff: I think Precise, Powered, Nirn, and Decisive all have their merits, depending on what you are doing.

DW weapons: Here I am not totally sure to be honest. Obviously you want sharp and in a really well organized stam raid, people go one precise and one sharp. I ran One Sharp and One defending for a long time, and it was still better than not using them. Whether you can get away with two terrible traits after the nerf, I am not sure.

Bow: This buffs endless hail so much, I think you can get away with a bad trait, but Sharp>Precise>Defending (PVP) is all I would probably use. Personally, I run Precise in PVE and Defending in PVP. Still dont have Sharp.

As for Stam Sorc VMA gear, you want 5NM (with two sharp Daggers), 5 Vicious Ophidian, 2 Velidreth. Spriggans would aslo work instead of NM (might be a hair better), but much harder to get as you need 2 sharp daggers. Easier to craft NM, and NM is useful in a group where Spriggans is not.

Thanks for the responses, I really do appreciate it. The vma weapons would be for use outside of vma minus a bow when I get one. What prompted the question was the fact that I got a nirn resto staff and then a decisive inferno staff and was wondering if they trumped non vma weapons in pve or not.
As for gear, I've been able to complete with a combination of all that I have, just wondering what will give me most bang for buck without using vo, I understand vo is desired and when I get it I'll use it but I'm looking at optimal before I get there. I go back and forth between agility/nmg/hunding, nmg/red mountain/kraghs, nmg/viper/kraghs. I might just be splitting hairs here but not sure...
