TNG if my memory is correct.

edit: Ah I see I am not the only one who watched TNG episodes again and again...

Im probably going to leave soon as well. I really want to do Vet Trials but all i ever see is my Guilds or Zone chat looking for experienced players with max CP. I am none of those as my game time is really limited so i want to run Vet Trials for fun not to be the BEST amazing group ever. It was like that when Craglorn first came out if you remember? Apart from it was players asking you to link and show Achievement of Trials completion before a group would let you join. That put me off back then and now its even worse as the Vet Trials are much more difficult. Well i hope all these stuck up and glory hunting players have fun with themselves when players like myself leave due to being left out.
ZOS takes cheating very Lightly. You have been warned, and any cheaters found out will get the Least punishment possible...

This isn't a rant or a grousing whine (and dont ask for my gold, who knows, I might change my mind) but more of a sad comment on something I'd had high hopes for.

As a bit of background - I originally started playing ESO in beta. After a few months I stopped, as the bugs and bots were driving me crazy, and certain aspects of the game annoyed me. Some still do - the single bank for one, and the aucutioning system for another. I know many people dont mind the current set ups for those and thats fine, its an individual thing. But one of my frustrations stems from the second system.

The driving need by so many guilds to earn gold through their guild stores in my opinion removes a lot of the social aspect of the game. Almost every guild I've tried (and you have plenty of options to try them) have concentrated, to one degree or another, on making gold. Most of them have minimum requirements which I've found harder to meet due to my drop off in play time. I've never managed to find a social guild similar to the best ones I'm a member of in WoW - guilds that help their members, have fun events, do raiding on whatever level they are up to, do dungeons together and so on. I guess guilds like that are out there in ESO somewhere but, as I say, I've never managed to find one. (and I have to say I dont quite get the drive to make gold For what purpose? To get a good store location. To make more gold. To keep getting a good store location. To keep making gold. Its like ok - but where does this carousel actually stop at?)

Anyway, that tiny grump aside, I've just become bored with it, and the boredom is mostly tied to my not being able to find that friendly supportive guild environment that I'm used to. I can put up with the round of professions quests, the levelling of one alt after another doing the same quests over and over, but without some meaningful reason to get to that upper level, I don't quite see my purpose in being there.

As a PS - Im in Australia, and if anyone happens to know of the kind of social, fun, friendly, activity-driven guild I'm talking about for players in that area, let me know. It might stir my interest up again.

You know what you could do is create a guild and name it something like "Friendly Dungeon Runners ( EU )" and watch all the friendly Australia people come rolling in :)

The secret to this game is to find something you really enjoy doing :) I do get frustrated at times ( looks at my inventory ) but for the most part I always enjoy playing the game. I might be weird, but I even enjoy grinding. :)

One day I will leave the game :( but not yet :)

You can join Friendly Dungeon Runners, not sure if the active time zone is best for you. I know on weekends i play day and night, and many others do too. The link is on my signature if you are interested. Or just contact me in game @vamp.emily.

Have you run all the normal trials yet? How about DSA and vDSA? Maelstrom?

vet trials are a bit of a progression thing. If you join a group that's doing normal and you know what you are doing, they may invite you to their vet training run, and then to the vet leaderboard runs.
But it does look like you would benefit from being in a Trials guild. Have you thought about that? They would usually have organized events where they show newcomers the ropes.

Whenever i read "im from beta" i stop reading automatically.

Sorry but what is the need to mention that? It doesnt give your opinion anyore credibility than someone who started playing a month ago for me. And yes, I played the beta too but it doesnt mean anything

It would imply that they have been here since the start. If that is enough to make you stop reading than why bother posting. And yes long term player have a bit more credibility because we generally have more invested in the game than someone who's been here a month and might not stay. It shows a certain amount of loyalty and dedication on the long term players part.

To the OP there are guild recruitments in the forums that you could find exactly what you're looking for.

While we don't want to see you go , as stated in our community rules posting goodbye threads is not allowed. However if it is a guild you are looking for we highly suggest going to the guild recruitment section.
