Is Imperial race good for this use?

So with the xp bonus coming, I wanted to round out my set of characters by doing a Stamsorc, Stamplar, Magiblade, and StamDK (not sure what the "cool" nick-name is for this..lol), and I was wanting to make the character as close to identical as I could (and also female non-cat, lizard).

Each class seems to have a preferred race or two, but these don't really overlap for both stam and magic builds, but Imperial seems to be a good all-around race for most anything. Because of this i was thinking about picking up the imperial upgrade (2100 crowns for the pack) and using it for my new set of characters.

Is this a decent idea? Is the imperial upgrade totally not worth it? Does race choice and it's benefit really make that much of a difference if I'm not really trying to be top of any leaderboards?

These are just a few of the questions I'm throwing around, so thanks for any input or help.

Imo Redguard > imperial always for a stambuild because of its sustain passive, except if you want to go purely tank. And well, if it's purely DPS with no regards to PvP Khajiit > Redguard. But if you don't really care about the top performance, you can go with whatever you want. The difference is not that big and you can complete anything and perform good anyway.
And for magblade I'd go with Dunmer or High Elf. But that's just me wanting an optimized race.

I'd say now, that Dunmer is a better jack-of-all trades than Imperial, due to a max Stam and a max mana bonus. The extra magic damage and fire resistance is just gravy ;)

Play what ever you want, don't be a follower you don't need to min max.

You can make up for the weakness in racial passives, through stats and in game gear.

I bought the pack and I don't regret it at all. I love the horse that comes with it, as well as the fact you can play in any alliance without buying that upgrade separately. I have always played Imperial and nothing else, since it's a purely human race :P

Imperial is viable for a stamina build, add in a bit of health too. They have passives which increase up to 12% of your max health and stamina, also having a passive that can restore up to 6% health on a hit, it's a 10% chance to heal but light attacks go faster than you think.

Honestly, they would work *best* as a tank. That's because of both health and stamina passives, not to mention they get a 15% exp gain in the One Hand and Shield AKA Sword & Board skill line. That's the line most tanks use. It's definitely meant for a tank build but can be mixed into anything pretty much. I'd say it's second to Nord, maybe even a tie. Nord's health regen is hard to beat though.

Anyways, I personally play a StamNB Imperial just because I figured more health the better, and I just have always liked that race. Obviously, choose whatever is best.

The Imperials health bonus is very nice. You can make imperial magblade with all pts in magicka, and with the nb passives have 40k magicka AND decent health. My friend has one and heals vdsa on her.
