Scoring in PvP needs to stop while servers are down
well to be fair, they zerged the entire map @ 3am EST and no one from my or your faction was even on to make a difference, 4 hours of maintenance won't really stop that.
Also, doesn't it though? I mean the servers are off, how can they run score checks when they are off? I don't think they go off a time, they go off internal tmers, which are off.
Did I mention the servers are off?
Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.
I do believe the scoring continues while the servers are down. People could make a difference now but can't and the score is ticking for DC...that is my point, you know?
I and a few buddies tested this theory over a few scheduled maintenances. (can anyone guess why?....yeah, we were looking for a way to get points without earning them) At most, one scoring period MIGHT tick off during maintenance, but that's it. When the servers are down, nobody gets any points in cyrodiil.
What's the exact examples of where you believe scoring is occurring while servers are down?
(Not to confuse if ppl are offline but when servers are actually down)

The calculation is likely made based on the time/date not the server being up or down. I'd guess when they come back up it just calculates the score based on the product of the scoring factors and their relation to Zulu time.
