Maelstrom Sword and Mace Suggestion

This has to be done . These items are literally the most useless ones in the game . Low Slash hits just a bit harder and your next heavy attack restores more Stamina ? Really ? I need ZOS to reconsider this . We had people who used these items back when completing vMSA was hard to do just because they wanted to show off their items . Not because they were useful . Now , no one uses them . So , here are my suggestions for MSA Sword and Mace rework and I expect all of you to contribute and give your suggestions as well .

Sword : When you taunt an enemy , you make them take 2.5% more damage from all sources for 12 seconds . Gives 1k Max Health .

Mace : When you taunt an enemy , you reduce their armor by 1.5k for 12 seconds . Gives 1k Max Health .

Shield : Doubles the effect of your MSA weapon enchant .

So , Sword gives 5% more damage taken and mace reduces armor by 3k when combined with Shield .

Idea here is , not making them strong when they are being used as only weapon but make them decent and viable when combined with Shield . They are still good without Shield but not so much .

Again , MSA Sword and Mace is really useless and it is time to boost them . Every Maelstrom weapon type has some kind of use in PvE or PvP but these weapons provides nothing but tempers from deconstruct . Let's make this happen !

    Anyone who has common knowledge of PvE knows that Dagger and Axe are much superior to Swords and Maces in terms of DPS . Even if they do what you said , no one will use them in PvE . Instead of a tweak that won't change anything , I rather prefer something that tanks can actually use and give support to the team .

    I disagree with your buff proposals, but I do agree that Maelstrom Swords/Maces need a buff!

    The point of Maelstrom weapons is to buff the 2nd skill in Weapon Skill lines. Whatever happens, Maelstrom Swords/Maces are supposed to buff Low Slash.

    Your suggestions are problematic because:
    1) These enchants are way too strong and cause Maelstrom Swords/Shields to become BiS for tanks
    2) Being BiS means that all serious tanks are now subject to vMA RNG
    3) These enchants having nothing to do with Low Slash

    We've told ZOS to buff them since Orsinium launched over a year ago.... don't legitamately believe even for a second that ZOS will bother :

    They did kinda listen. The shield used to be a stand alone drop, even on the weekly and wasn't part of a set at launch..was truly the worst drop after spending 4hrs in there lol.

    Pretty sure the effect of the maelstrom sword and mace applies to the heavy attack after the low slash, not the low slash itself. Which is what makes it completely useless. If it would apply to low slash it would be an okayish PvP weapon.

    They are supposed to be strong , no ? Everyone , including healers , must face the RNG to get the items they want . People who want to be better will farm it (including myself) until they get it . This is something all players are doing to improve . Not that I support RNG system in this game but it works like this for everyone .

    Even though I agree on what you said about not bothering to wait for ZOS to buff something , I think they will do it sooner or later . Dragon Blood buff that is incoming in Housing Update is an example for that . I am trying to create a suggestion thread where people can shoot some suggestions so ZOS don't make a change like ''increased the effectiveness of MSA Sword and Mace by 20%'' . Most of the time , this is what they do . They just increase the numbers when they want to buff something . It doesn't apply to MSA Sword and Mace because they need a complete rework . Anything that will make them useful , I will support .

    Here is another suggestion if it is have to be Low Slash that works with MSA weapons :

    Sword : After using Low Slash , your next bash attack will restore 15 Ultimate . This effect has a 9 second cooldown .

    Mace : After using Low Slash , your next bash attack will debuff the enemy , making allies who attack it , buff themselves with Minor Force for 2 seconds . This debuff lasts for 4 seconds and has 9 seconds cooldown .
    (means maximum of 66% uptime on Minor Force if tank is using this)
