We're wrapping up an exciting year in Tamriel by celebrating the New Life Festival! This event is filled with quests that take you across different zones, and you have a chance to obtain fun and festive rewards.
The New Life Festival kicks off this Thursday, December 15 at 10:00am EST. Before you can partake in the festivities, you'll need to track down Breda outside Windhelm for your first quest simply titled “The New Life Festival." Once you complete her requests, you'll have the opportunity to complete up to nine different daily quests, each themed for Tamriel's different races and located in their respective zones. These include:
Castle Charm Challenge (Breton)
Fish Boon Feast (Argonian)
Lava Foot Stomp (Dunmer)
Mud Ball Merriment (Bosmer)
Signal Fire Sprint (Redguard)
Snow Bear Plunge (Nord)
Stonetooth Bash (Orc)
The Trial of Five-Clawed Guile (Khajiit)
War Orphan's Sojourn (Altmer)
Upon completion of each quest, you'll be given a New Life Gift Box which contains a random assortment of New Life Festival-themed goodies. Each New Life Gift Box will always contain:
A random crafting material (Provisioning ingredient, Alchemy reagent, or Health glyph)
A consumable version of a New Life-themed Memento
A Skinchanger style item (Wolfsbane Incense)
In addition, you will also receive one of the following:
A Skinchanger Motif chapter
A New Life recipe of either green, blue or gold-quality
A special New Life Collectible
Mud Ball Pouch (Memento)
Nordic Bather's Towel (Costume)
Colovian Filigreed Hood (Hat)

If you're able to complete all the quests that Breda has for you, you'll receive a special new dye – New Life Cerulean – and the New Life Celebrant achievement. Completing all the New Life-related achievements will grant the “Magnanimous" title as well! Be sure and complete each quest before the New Life Festival concludes on Wednesday, January 4 at 10am EST.

A lot of fun! I love the fact that there is 0 grinding. All you need to do is do the 9 daily quests to get the motifs. I guess that's a little bit of grind. A lot of fun! I love the fact that there is 0 grinding. All you need to do is do the 9 daily quests to get the motifs. I guess that's a little bit of grind. But at least you know you're getting drops for each quest.

Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.

I imagine they will take you to different delves, different zones, etc. Some may even be multi part quests. If they were fast and easy then people would complain that not much thought went into the event and it was over too quickly.2 -

They are very short, some more than the others but none of them are too long. The one I took the longest was the Argonian one, but that was on PTS where I had no one to trade the fish with me and the character I was doing it on didn't have any waypoints close to the fish holes. But the quests are all pretty straightforward.

It's simple: the Imperials are based on the Romans, and we all know what they did to the guy whose birth we are celebrating during that time of the year
The ancient cultures, including the Romans, already had celebrations during this time of the year before that guy showed up, though :P
(Also, different folks celebrate different stuff this time of the year. I'm very excited for the Summer Solstice, myself)
Jokes aside, I think it is actually because the Imperials do not have a non-DLC map to call their own. But they could put their celebration in, say, Arenthia (Reaper's March), for example. Sure, the Khajiiti one is already in the Reaper's March, but I'm sure nobody would mind having two of the daily quests on the same map if it meant every playable race would have their own quest.

I would refrain from bringing up that type of subject as i wouldn't want the thread to get closed. But just to correct you on that, first, nowhere in that book does it say he was born during that time of the year (september i believe it was).
