Which Mundus Stones For TBS Set

hightowermusic
Hello... I am trying a hybrid build with my 2nd wood elf night blade archer. I am a CP 300 currently. I have tried The Thief(crit chance) and The Warrior(weapon damage) and now I am using The Thief and The Shadow(weapon crit damage). Which one either shadow or warrior would you recommend for a NB archer. My gear set up is Twice Born Star 5 pieces heavy and Night Mother 2 medium pieces and NM jewelry with stat changed to weapon damage. Before you go off on the heavy armor choice... I already have a glass canon wood elf night blade archer that has 5 pieces Briarhear all divine and 2 pieces of Gladiators also divine and 3 piece set of robust agility with trait switched to weapon damage. He hits with around 2k weapon damage and 69.9 % crit and gets around 15 to 20k with each hit from my bow. The reason for my new build on my other archer is I am trying to get around the same stats, but be less squishy. I'm tiered of dying :( The TBS armor is all gold with divine trait, NM stuff is purple with divine, purple NM jewelry. I have all the passives but agility as my med armor skill line is only at 35 for now... I know...wtf??? I wore heavy armor most of his life so... After some research and advice from guild mates... I've switched to med armor on both of my NB Archers for the passives. Bows are both purple as I have not decided which will be my permanent ones yet, but they both have the weapon glyph on them and both are precise for trait. I am thinking about switching 2 pieces of the TBS set to med for more % of the med armor passives. That would still be a full set of TBS, just 3 heavy and 2 med bringing my total armor to 4 med pieces. Thanks in advance for the helps and GO!!!

That was an enthusiastic block of text!

I don't have the link, but some clever math's boffins have 'confirmed' that the two mundus you want are the shadow and the thief - and on a nightblade that will be particularly effective.

If you really would prefer crit and weapon damage you may get more from hundings rage.

But, I strongly suggest you have 5 pieces of medium armour. One of the medium armour passives only applies if you are wearing 5 pieces, and eventually it will increase your weapon damage 12%.
#1 tip (Re)check your graphics settings periodically - especially resolution.

Also, there are at least two Dropped Sets now that are tailor made for Bow users. Ranger is one of them, I forget the other one but I have a couple of pieces. Anyway, seek those out, they are probably cheap in the guild stores as most people don't like Bows because the Mythical Meta says to not use them.

It could be a nice combo to pair up with TBS.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

For TBS you always want Thief and Shadow. It has to do with the stat value afforded these two Mundus stones.

If you take the 2, 3, and 4 set bonus' to be roughly equal in stat value, then by comparison Thief massively out shines other Mundus stones. Other Mundus stones offer anywhere between 165% to 250% of the stat value of a single 2, 3, or 4 set bonus, Thief offers well over 500% of the stat value. Because of this for DPS you will always want to take the Thief Mundus.

The Shadow is a bit unique in that the stat provided is not available in a 2, 3, or 4 set bonus and only available to a limited extent on a couple 5 set bonus'. With 7 gold Divines the Shadow offers 18% crit damage, this is quite significant as not only is it a large amount of one stat, but it is more than simply adding Minor Force which is a 5 set bonus. It can also stack with Major and Minor Force.

Due to the very lackluster nature of Mundus stones in general it appears that TBS really only shines for DPS and really only when using Thief and Shadow as your stones.

For DPS purposes you really are gimping yourself if you are not wearing at least 5 medium(physical) or 5 light(magical).

Also I cannot stress enough that Sharpened is hands down better than precise provided your targets armor is not fully penetrated. Provided there is still armor to penetrate Sharpened is an 8% increase to Precises 2.7% or so. Most targets and all bosses in veteran content will have 18k resistances, without having several members debuff the target with specific sets you will never be able to fully penetrate the resistances.

For more survivability try to shuffle enchants or attributes until you have 18-20k health with food. Make sure to get and use vigor, and then all that's left is to pay attention to incoming damage and use block, dodgeroll, and defensive abilities like cloak to avoid damage.
