    LUL only 4% eh.

    3 x %4 = %12 more elemantal damage, ...

I don't understand this math (honest question). The only 3x skill in the game is force pulse and it counts as 3 separate hits at once, so total damage gain is still 4%.

    Say base is 3x100 = 300
    Passive bonus would be 3x104 = 312
    % gained 12/300 = 4%

That's because he's doing it wrong. (It's not additive, which was his assumption.)

4% gained is 4% gained. It's applied to three different elements, but it still results in a 4% increase.

Yours is the correct way to look at it.

Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

    Earn it.

I believe it's because there's 3 ranks of the passive, granting 4% each.

    Edit: nevermind, it's 2/3/4%.

    Breton more tanky.
Altmer a slight bonus on damage (4%).
Hard to say who has more magicka at disposal.

Please DON'T trust people who say it's actually 12% bonus (because 3 elements). It's just 4% to whole damage, that's it.

    Let me continue -

Spell resists on a shield stacking sorc in PvP is USELESS.... Exchanging that for an extra 4% dmg on elemental spells is a no brainer.

Now lets analyze the final part of the puzzle. 3% cost reduction vs 9% regen.

This is easy to do because we can talk about it in terms of CP costs.

3% reduction costs approx < 10 ish points.
9% Regen costs approx < 25 ish points. HURRAY FOR 2nd MAINTENANCE THANKS ZOS!!!

So in terms of usefulness in PvP and really just generally Altmer wins in all categories.

Useless spell resists vs 4% bonus dmg to all elements. - ALTMER

3% cost reduction for ~10 CPs points vs 9% regen for ~ 25 points - ALTMER

    10% bonus magicka - DRAW

I am a min maxer. My sorc is an Altmer.

Take Breton for the cost reduction passive and max magicka bonus.

That. And not being a damn elf.

Only good thing about High Elf is the extra recovery.
Other than that, Breton it is.

    Wtf?

I guess 4% extra damage on every element is not good then?
    LUL only 4% eh.

    Same max magica

Less CP to get the high elf regen then Breton reduction.

4% more damage from majority of your DPS compared to spell resistance which is irrelevant for DPS, especially shields.

High elf is a way better choice.

I swapped from Breton to HE and I will tell you.. The difference was HUGE! DPS is a lot higher on a HE compared to Breton.. Those percentages really matter with a class that the multipliers are for large chunk burst damage!

High elf for pve for sure. The passives make the storm calling tree and destro abilities/light and heavy attacks beefier for sure.

But yeah, high elf. Endgame u want more dps since sorcs are so tanky anyways with hardened ward, power surge healing with your aoe/dots etc.

You are right. Percent gained is 4% for force pulse per attack. since there are three elements in that attack, do 312/300 you get 1.04 increase. It seems like it would be 12%, but objectively is still 4%....the confusion is because you actually get three attacks at a 4% buff each. That does not total 12%, because you're always dividing that "12%" by 3 in a sense. Same reason why elemental succession set bonus looks amazing, then you realize it's 500 spell power divided by 3 at any given time haha.

The point is tha 4% is huge tho.

Liquid lightning, wall of elements, boundless storm, the burning effect from force pulse, force pulse itself, light and heavy attacks, and ilambris all hitting 4% harder individually adds the hell up my man. Add grothdar, burning spell weave, fire destro ulti, and things get melted quick. I ditched kena and kverload for maelstrom and have been getting my highest scores and least deaths so far!
