What's the bet those of us who didn't have the massive lag will log back into game after this second maintenance and find we now have lag.

Yeah I did notice that after the first maintenance that my game was having really bad lag... not to mention a rollback to which I've made a post about: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/308170/i-was-redirected-back-to-charecter-screen

Is there anything you don't complain about?

If they didn't do the maintenance, how long would it be until you started complaining they hadn't released the new motif, hats or festival stuff for the crown store?

Aren't you complaining about what I'm complaining about? Aren't you contradicting yourself there? Also who cares about the new motifs... ZOS prefer us farming for our BIS gear, not being able to craft it ourselves... why should I spend money on a motif when I can't even use it? Certainly can't convert my BIS farmed gear into the proper style that I want.... also all of the items that I want to buy is in the gambling crates, and I'm not about to cave in, and start gambling.

exactly what i am also upset about, i want to be able to convert my droped gear into the style that i can craft them in.
also: would be great that during that conversion i could also choose a new trait on them.

Did they say why we needed this maintenance today?
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

It's not an issue that they have regular scheduled maintenance.

It IS an issue that 2 times out of every 3 for the last 6 months there has also been unscheduled maintenance the following day to correct lag/rollback issues that started after the scheduled maintenance.

It is poor customer service and is getting beyond a joke.

WTF, logged in to regain time lost on riding lessons yesterday to Maintenance Mode due to problems from yesterday's patch.

Thank you so much zos. You break it, we pay the price. And as nice as it is to see Gina say thanks for your patience, it's pretty obvious that's just her being nice and does not reflect on zos. I don't think they care one iota how we feel.

Its not a question of complaining its a question of being fed up with their incompetence. This is not the first time this has happened and at some point it just gets old.

You have the option of playing a different game. If you are so unhappy with this one, why keep playing? I have played quite a few and frankly I find this one to be one of the best. You can't buy your way to the top level forcing others to put up with your incompetence while you learn to play your newly purchased level 100. Players still have to earn things, actually work to get them. WOW, what a concept!

Your post has nothing to do with this thread. This thread is about incompetence, and the long downtimes the player must endure. It has nothing to do with earning your way to the top.

Knavery, I am simply saying that if I do not like the way a product works, I buy a different one and do not buy from that manufacturer again. Do not get your knickers in a twist young one, trust this old person, there are RL things to get upset about.

Oh yes, now I have to go hang the doors I have put off for several months (darn you ZOS).

Instead of abandoning the game that we have such a great compassion over... why can't the developers like @ZOS_GinaBruno read our plea from the threads that we create, and take notice for when it comes down to having a ZOS meeting in the boardroom for game improvements? How hard is it to print out a thread from this forum, and show it to the rest of the developers? ZOS is pretty damn lucky to have players that is willing to take time off, and explain the flaws in this game instead of just bailing out.

Sorry I'm not that kind of person. I like to give companies a chance to redeem themselves before I divorce them. I do have some faith in ZOS... although that faith is diminishing as time goes by.

True ESO fans don't bail out.

    Oh FFS.

Look, it's annoying, obviously. But the only way to fully "test" the effects of going live with the full community all over the world playing is to push the patch out to live. Sometimes, this has unintended consequences. Then, they have to scramble to identify the problem, create a solution, and then bring the servers down to implement it.

You want to be mad at them for writing some bad code, go right ahead. You want to think they need to internally test better, fine. This stuff is annoying, and maybe it doesn't reflect very well on the way ZOS does things, but your reaction is over the top.

Taking the servers down the next day is the right decision. Obviously, it's not as right as not breaking the servers in the first place, but sometimes *** happens.
