Is it good and also does it restore 2% of dmg you do or the group does in the radius

It is good in raids . Imagine like this . A DD doing 50k DPS . 2% of that is 1k . That means 1000 healing per second . That is good . It lasts for 46 seconds if you get the Sanguine Altar morph . It is a small but a stable healing source . Saying again , good IN RAIDS . Not 4-man content or PvP .

In terms of healing it is not very good, and for tanks it can be fatal as synergizing it makes you drop block.

i think the problem with this skill is they didn't implement it quite right...i think it was supposed to be 2% of all combined damage done (i.e. for all players in the area the dmg stacks for calculating the 2% heal), but got lost in translation along the way

1k heals a second is so weak, especially in pve.

A rally would tick higher, never mind other hot's from heal.

No but I really feel like ZOS should make more skills interlinked.

Like blood alter should do something to vampires. Maybe increase the damage or regen for vampires whilst in the radius

Might as well change it to a damage boosting skill and biff the heal...so when you stand in radius you give the blood altar some of your blood (it takes some hp away each second) but also massively increases your damage.

It's basically doing nothing for heals now anyway.

Yeah , that sounds really good . I will go tell my DDs to go Two-Handed now . Thanks for suggestion !

Blood Atlar is flawed is many ways.

The fact that it requires you to perform astronomical amounts of damage for not even a mediocre heal already butchers a lot of its potential.

Add to that, that the synergy is a death sentence for trial tanks as dropping block at the wrong moment can easily result in a wipe.

Finally, the cast time to even place the altar as well as its stationary nature severely hinders what redeemable quality it could have had.

I suggest an entire revision of the skill so that it becomes a life draining AoE attack that siphons health from enemies in its radius and heals players within by X%, with a synergy that instantly causes a larger health drain and heal effect for enemies/allies within the radius.
