Will we ever see Fist Fighters?

Why do threads about this keep having to pop up.. you're basically asking your character to be as powerful without any weapons and the buffs that come with them but without actually having anything in/on your hands to begin with.

From a realistic point of view, it wouldn't make *** for sense for someone to run up to a group of armored enemies with nothing but bare hands, you'd get the living crap beat out of you and then spit on, and rightly so.

PvP combat would also look like a ridiculous joke if you could be a tank with heavy armor and be wielding a sword/shield but still get beaten by someone with no weapons other than fists.

And don't try to use the, "but we could do it in previous elder scrolls games" excuse. Those are all single player games that have a lot of different rules overall, this being one of them.

    So stahp it.

I said Fist Fighter not bare hand. I would fully expect there to be weapons, either brass knuckles or claws.

And I will reference older games. If a game can't draw from its past, what's the point of series?

I'm fine with this game drawing on the past games for content (obviously) however, taking a single player mechanic that makes little to no sense in an MMO, but trying to force it into the mmo anyway doesn't quite work. Even if you had knuckles or something on your hands, you wouldn't stand a chance against someone covered in armor and weapons.

Nah , it works just fine DND they are a large part of combat EQ2 it worked phenomenal . end it worked fine in TES, there are monks in elder scrolls its a fact.and monks work of spiritual magic, much like a cleric. Monks are magic combined with physical abilities.

No need for a separate skill line given that you can still use class skills. To make it worthwhile, add in an armor set:

    Six Blessed Monastic set
    2pc bonus: +health
    3pc bonus:+stamina
    4pc bonus: +stam recovery
5pc bonus: adds 200 weapon damage to your unarmed attacks. Each time you deal damage with an unarmed light or heavy attack, gain 20 weapon damage for 8 seconds, stacking up to 10 times.

Stupid and trying to force it into MMO?

WHAT ABOUT -EVERY MONK CLASS ON THE PLANET-?!

It's not a new concept and might actually fill a gap in this games system, giving burst damage for the PVE crowd possibly.

Logic and reason are not accepted here if it conflicts with fandom, leave Brittney alone!

ZoS? Will we ever be able to beat our enemies to death with our bare hands?

You could make it a hybrid weapon, if your mana pool is bigger let it scale off magic, stamina let it scale off weapons.

    It would be really fun.

Yes, there are some in the game right now. I saw some running around just shooting blasts from their bare hands and no weapon. Also, others beating up giants and mammoths with just their bare hands. Entertaining as heck to watch, though.
