Dark brotherhood added all kinds of nice kills and animations can we get that treatment to the rest of the game the games rating was 18+ so add some blood also add sone new death posses and make targets pick a death pose at random atm we have two poses face up hand on chest or face down sprawled. Add a on side slumped a and different limb arrangements. Also cover enemies kills by physical dmg in blood like when a vampire feeds. Add an option to toggle the blood for the squeamish. Change the fall animation from a drunken back trip or insta flop front fall.

    As I posted back then:
    On the animation side... we already have those for magic damage. People bursting in flames and burning to ash through fire damage, getting desintegrated by shock damage, frozen and shattering through ice damage, melting in green goo through poison/disease damage... all these are already there, so the mechanic must exist. All it needed was adding some weapon-powered "bloody mess" death anims, which then would play only for those who installed the pack, while for everyone else its just "falling over".

    I would also want more blood in the landscape for this. Have anyone noticed there are only three kinds of "corpses" in the game? These are: "unharmed but motionless", "burned to a cinder" and "skeleton". No "covered in wounds", no "mutilated", no "cut to pieces", no "headless and still bleeding", none of that...
    Also, there is no blood or visible wounds with any of the "hurt" NPCs. Neither the ones who are "It's just a flesh wound, go ahead without me, I'll catch up", nor the ones that are "Ah, I am dying here... please fulfill my last request...". Not even when they do indeed have died. And none of the people you occasionally rescue from under rubble or stuff like that even have any damaged clothing either! I'd expect some tear and wear... some blood and bruises... all too often this adds a jarring tone to my immersion, seems like actors in a c-movie that skimped on the FX budget...

    yes, I loved the kill-cams in Skyrim, it would be nice if ZOS would add them to all PVE kills, but not to PVP of course (that would not help the fights there)

    This is more fallout's thing than the elder scrolls. The worst the scrolls have ever got was decapitation, and sometimes not even that. Honestly I prefer it this way. Elder scrolls usually prefers not to go this route unless it's genuinely -ment- to be shocking, like the DB executions.

    Combat, death, are just facts of life in the elder scrolls. Why should we glorify them when their as mundane to the character as they are to us at this point?

    There are actually a variety off death animations other than the 2 you meantioned. They have a chance to occur when the target dies via a specific damage type and are visually linked to them (obviously).

    For example you can burn someone to ash, freeze them solid (and watch them crumble) or get the extra nasty route of having enemies choke on their own vomit (with disease dmg).


    Regarding the topic of kill cam like death animations for pure phisical weapons, i do not think they would fit in very well with the rest of the combat. These animations generally lock you into them, which is badin any content with dangerous AoE.
    Additionally ZOS would have to find a way to fluently go from skill animations to the kill animation, which would have to be done on a skill by skill basis and requires some very serious work i simply dont think they are up to, especially considering the way they tried to fix animation cancelling in the past.

    I walk into a swarm of 10 enemies blowing off pulsar til they die all just fall over backwards most don't burn or disintegrate into ash. I'm thinling more die by non crit fire have the charred corpse look lile the skin stealers quest. Not sayi ng add kill cam just update the animation we have to more than we got amd add some realistic deaths
