Would an assigned CP slider be a good option for difficulty and loot drops

To clarify this question:

If ZOS were to allow players to turn CP off, or reduce the max amount of assigned CP to cp160 or less, would you like this as a way to improve the loot drop chances as well as a way to influence content difficulty, would you like it as an option?

This thought comes as result of One Tamriel and the many threads which ask for changes to loot drop percentages as well as changes to difficulty within content.

So this hits two things
1. People who just want content to feel harder regardless of their level or CP.
2. People who are playing certain content who want a better drop % in solo and group content. (In the group example it would impact all in the group by a % of those who have reduced their CP or turned it off but it's not to force everyone to do this).

Group: The percent increase would be based upon the amount of CP not used in comparison to the max amount allowed. This means the max allowed in the CP cap and not based on player CP max.

I think it has the potential to add interesting and fun opportunities.

Quick CP adjustments:
In order for this to work, the game would provide another CP assignment prior to entering content so let's say it's CP 160 or CP100 for example. Each player would pre-assign this so it's something quick to toggle. Resetting costs still apply after being set but not for the quick toggle.

Thoughts?

So much is tied to cp, that a slider most likely would not be a simple thing for them to do, and might end up with a cluster ****

Maybe a standard difficulty slider like I have seen in other mmo's but then again cp I think would make that even a nightmare to do.

CP to me the way the did it is just bad just should have been more of a horizontal progression, things that supplement our skills a bit maybe give some fun things along the way, I think cp throws a spanner into any ideas for any kind of difficulty slider.
I don't think zos has the man power or the resources to invest in any large projects outside of dlc's or new crown store items.

So how does a slider so to speak mess up anything? The things tied to CP aren't based on assigned CP, it's based on the total amount achieved.

As such a player can do what I'm suggesting now without any issues but it won't enhance loot for them so ppl don't do it because it's pointless other than a personal challenege.

What about a scaling slider which determines your character's level of power between 100% and 1%, as you bring it down from 100% your health, stamina, magicka, health regen, magicka regen, stamina regen, weapon damage and spell damage are all decreased.

I personally don't see value there as no one should intentionally stay below 50

Now the 50 and up part of this does intend to offer enhancements or benefits to a slider for difficulty of the player.

Scaling isn't happening above cp160 but removing assigned CP doesn't lower stats but as is there no benefit of doing so.
That's my OP to offer a benefit and options but not to interrupt gameplay
