Self-sustaining DPS build (using 7/7 heavy armor, no staffs)?

Hey there,
I am planning to start a new character and need some advice on possible builds. I'm hoping that someone here might be able to point me in the right direction.
Here's my "requirements":
Is such a thing possible?
Basically I want to be able to survive a few hits while still being able to do some viable damage on my own.

- 7/7 heavy armor
- Using weapons (no staffs)
- Self-sustaining DPS / Offensive Tank (--> dealing viable damage, while being able to take a few punches)
Is such a thing possible?
Basically I want to be able to survive a few hits while still being able to do some viable damage on my own.
